The Korean Language major offers two specializations: Korean Translation & Interpretation, and Korean for Business & Commerce.

Students will be trained to master the four core Korean language skills – listening, speaking, reading, and writing – along with communication and presentation techniques essential for working in Korean-related businesses.   • Learning outcomes

    Upon graduation, students achieve: 

    - Korean proficiency equivalent to TOPIK Level 5, used fluently in academics and professional settings. 

    - Skills in translation and interpretation, presentation, business negotiation, document handling, and managing communication scenarios in Korean. 

    - Knowledge of Korean culture, society, and economy, along with the ability to work in international environments. 

    - Competence to take on roles such as translator/interpreter, business staff, market developer, import-export specialist, international HR, Korean language assistant, Korean language teacher, or tour guide at Korean companies and organizations.

    The teaching method is learner-centered, blending theory and practice, with an emphasis on communication activities, group discussions, and real-world scenario simulations. Lecturers use standard Korean textbooks, combined with technology and interactive activities, to help students acquire the language naturally, effectively, and enthusiastically.
