100 candidates nationwide "landed" at Dai Nam University to open Bootcamp Launch to Leader - Unleashing leadership abilities

On the morning of October 20, 100 candidates from high schools, colleges and universities nationwide gathered at Dai Nam University to participate in the Bootcamp Launch to Leader program - Unleashing leadership potential. This program is part of the Social Innovation Launch 2023 social entrepreneurship competition organized by the World Federation of Young Leaders and Entrepreneurs, Thang Long Branch (JCI) in collaboration with the Center for "Student Employment and Entrepreneurship" of Dai Nam University and the Youth+ Self-Orientation Ecosystem - ensuring employment for young people.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Pham Van Hong - Principal affirmed: With the motto "Orienting and exploiting potential for students to develop comprehensively in Morality - Intelligence - Strength" , Dai Nam University always creates the most favorable environment for students to promote their full capacity, creativity, and life skills; regularly organizes competitions for young people to strive and compete. Social Innovation Launch (SIL) is one of such competitions.

He congratulated the 100 contestants who had successfully surpassed more than 200 competitors from high schools, colleges, and universities across the country to enter round 2 - Bootcamp Launch to Leader. At the same time, he said that this is a necessary round for contestants to hone their leadership skills and innovate their thinking; an important stepping stone for young people to confidently embark on their entrepreneurial journey.

“Dai Nam University is extremely honored to participate in organizing the Social Innovation Launch competition for students nationwide; and at the same time, host the Bootcamp Launch to Leader round. To ensure the best for the candidates participating in this year's program, Dai Nam University provides maximum support in terms of accommodation, meals and training. 100 candidates can rest at the dormitory with full facilities of the school; recharge with nutritious meals at the school's canteen. 100% of the program's participation costs are covered by the Organizing Committee" , emphasized Mr. Pham Van Hong.

Mr. Pham Van Hong affirmed: Fostering and improving leadership skills is an important stepping stone for young people to confidently embark on their entrepreneurial journey.

Mr. Ha Tien Dat - President-elect of JCI Thang Long 2004 also affirmed: "Developing leadership skills for students is essential to create the next generation with enough talent, intelligence, courage and creativity; with many impressive, feasible start-up projects that can be implemented and have a strong impact on society" .

The Bootcamp Launch to Leader program takes place over 3 days and 2 nights at Dai Nam University. Here, the Top 100 contestants are divided into teams and must undergo rigorous training rounds. The score of each contestant will be the total score of the entire team. Each team will have a coach from IOGT Vietnam to accompany and support them with knowledge, startup skills, leadership skills, and to overcome challenges.

In addition to the training time, 100 candidates also participated in the workshop “From active young citizens to young leaders”; training on “17 UN Sustainable Development Goals and Social Impact Entrepreneurship”; connection – mental health of leaders.

Ms. Pham Thi Dung committed that the Organizing Committee will always create the best conditions for candidates to participate in training.
