16th Anniversary of the School and November 20th Celebration: Nearly 1,000 staff and lecturers go from one surprise to another

On November 18, Dai Nam University solemnly held the "16th Anniversary of the School's Establishment and 41st Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day November 20". The ceremony was conducted meticulously, methodically, and "measured" carefully from seating positions to every film, art performance, and gratitude gift... to bring nearly 1,000 staff and lecturers from one surprise to another and burst into joy and happiness.

16 years of hardship and difficulty but also full of pride and honor

On November 14, 2007, the Prime Minister signed a decision allowing Dai Nam University to officially start operating and enroll its first class. Dr. Le Dac Son became the current president of the university.

The flag-raising ceremony with hand on the left chest - a traditional beauty of Dai Nam University - shows the love, pride and responsibility of all cadres, lecturers and staff towards the country and the school.

After 16 years of strong development, Dai Nam University has achieved proud achievements. From 230 students in the first years, up to now, the training scale of Dai Nam University has reached 14,000 students. Gathering nearly 1,000 cadres, lecturers and employees.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the University Council expressed his gratitude and congratulations to all the staff and lecturers working at Dai Nam University: "It is fortunate that we are "destined" to become brothers, friends and colleagues at Dai Nam University to carry out the same mission: Educating and training generations of Vietnamese students. 16 years of hardship and difficulty, but with the trust, efforts and solidarity of the staff, lecturers and employees; Dai Nam University has gradually overcome difficulties to have a place to settle down and gradually affirm its solid position in the Vietnamese education system. After 16 years, the greatest thing we have achieved is the trust of the whole society..."

Mr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the School Board gave a speech of gratitude at the Anniversary Ceremony.

Mr. Le Dac Son added: “At the age of 17, Dai Nam University has firmly established itself in the university system. However, we must not rest on our laurels. Competition between universities will be fierce and Dai Nam University promotes the spirit of accepting competition, because only with competition can we develop, and only then can we hope that our country's education will develop.”

By 2027, Dai Nam University aims to have a training scale of 20,000 - 25,000 students studying annually. By 2037, it aims to have a training scale of 40,000 - 45,000 students studying annually. Dai Nam University will be in the TOP 5 private universities with the best training scale and quality; TOP 10 universities with the largest training scale in the country.

Happy birthday to Dai Nam University: 16 years of hardship and difficulty but full of pride and honor.

To realize that goal, in the 2023-2024 school year, Dai Nam University must focus all resources on developing its scale; ensuring that all students studying in all majors have jobs and high incomes after graduation.

“With a modern infrastructure system, rapidly increasing utilities; the solidarity and consensus of the whole team; the strength of the media; the trust of society, Dai Nam University is capable of realizing the above goals and is the leading destination for students nationwide.”

Teaching is the noblest of all noble professions, therefore, Mr. Le Dac Son hopes that all teachers of Dai Nam University will leave a lasting impression on life.

“Just leaving a mark on a student means that teachers have fulfilled their mission: the mission of being a teacher!” , emphasized Mr. Le Dac Son.

For teachers , it is necessary to have extensive knowledge in their field to best convey it to students. It is mandatory to conduct scientific research to supplement their own knowledge and contribute new inventions to the development of society. At the same time, become a consultant, a coach to motivate and inspire students to learn.

The staff and lecturers of Dai Nam University are imbued with the policy and always strive to properly implement the direction of the school's Board of Directors.

For the Board of Directors, we must strive, make every effort to properly fulfill our assigned responsibilities, in accordance with our areas of responsibility; In particular, we must be an example for our staff, lecturers, and employees to follow.

In response to the President's heartfelt sharing, Mr. Pham Van Hong - Principal of the school pledged: "On behalf of the Board of Directors, I pledge to do my best to fulfill the tasks assigned by the President, specifically implemented on the system of indicators that the school has issued for the entire school in the 2023-2024 school year".

Explode with emotions with a special performance rich in messages

One of the highlights of the “16th Anniversary of the School’s Founding and 41st Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day November 20” was the special performances, rich in messages about the profession “simple but noble, not dazzling but sparkling”.

The performance “Day and Night March” evokes the image of when the country is in danger, there are two reliable forces: the soldier and the teacher. And Vietnam has gone through a thousand years of glorious history, including the period called Blood and Flowers of the great war against America to unify the country. That was the period when the image of the soldier and the teacher appeared vividly and beautifully through poetry and music, extremely brave but full of romance of the soldier on the battlefield and his lover, his virtuous wife, the teachers in the rear.

Despite the longing because of the “very long and very far” distance, the fire of love and responsibility still burns there. The place that burns is the heart of love.

The whole hall was surprised by the performance of “Day and Night March” by Mr. Nguyen Luong Dinh – Faculty of Politics - National Defense - Physical Education…

And Ms. Phan Thanh Hue - Faculty of Communication.

“The Song of the People’s Teacher” affirms that teaching is an extremely noble profession. A profession in which no matter how difficult the general living conditions are or how many obstacles there are in one’s own life, no one allows themselves to be sad or dissatisfied with their students; always steadfastly passionate about the profession and devoted to the career of imparting knowledge and creating the future.

The performance "Song of the People's Teacher" brings deep, proud emotions.

Teachers confidently and happily express their warm and emotional voices.

Each performance was carefully "measured" from images, footage to the surprise appearances of singers to take teachers from one surprise to another and burst into joy and happiness.

Burst into happiness with a special gift of gratitude in the armrest

The most surprising thing in this year's program was the special gifts of gratitude to teachers hidden in the armrests of the chairs. These were cards recording the wishes and confidences of the students to their respected teachers.

Bursting with happiness when receiving a special gift of gratitude from a student.

The Youth Union secretly collected these gifts from students of the faculties and stayed up until 3am on November 18th to 'store' the gifts in the correct seating positions for each person. Everyone was excited to be able to bring joy and happiness to the teachers on this special day.

The simple happiness of a teacher!

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - lecturer of the Faculty of Business Administration could not hide her tears of happiness when receiving the unexpected gift: "At first, I was a bit surprised, not knowing why this year we were sitting according to the diagram. I also thought this was a form of roll call. I did not expect that it was the intention of the Organizing Committee for teachers to receive special gifts from the students they are teaching and being the head teacher of. Thank you to the School, thank you to the students who always love and motivate me to love my job, be passionate about my job and make more efforts on the future path".

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy was moved when reading the wishes of her homeroom students.

“The 16th Anniversary of Dai Nam University and the 41st Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day November 20” has ended, but the feelings of gratitude still remain in the minds of every cadre, lecturer, and staff member of Dai Nam University.
