Advanced KNM Camp: Dai Nam students confidently affirm their talents, abilities, skills, "say no" to unemployment

Soft Skills Training Camp (KNM) - the "specialty" of Dai Nam University has officially returned with a more advanced and unique version. Awaiting K15 students at the Advanced KNM Training Camp are teambuilding activities with "difficult" challenges, "brain-teasing" intellectual competitions, acting challenges and message-conveying abilities. Students are completely freed from all their own barriers, focusing on comprehensive development in Morality - Intelligence - Body - Beauty, aiming at the goal of Dai Nam students confidently affirming their abilities and talents, saying no to unemployment due to lack of skills.

Burn calories with teammates and conquer challenges

The Advanced KNM Camp training program opens with a series of "calorie-burning" activities to improve health with 5 challenging stages: Bringing water to the source, Flipping and jumping in a sack, Hundred-joint bamboo tree, Balance bike, Giant flying saucer.

In the challenge of Bringing Water to the Source, the teams were tasked with filling a 2m high water pipe with holes punched in it to retrieve the ball hidden inside. The members were only allowed to use available items to cover the holes. This challenge required the solidarity and strategy of each team; how to minimize the amount of water leakage and retrieve the ball in the fastest time.

Giving up selfishness for the sake of the collective is one of the great lessons for students at the Advanced KNM Camp.

The Sack Jumping Challenge not only trains the body but also helps students overcome their own limits. Even though they are exhausted and tired, no one has any intention of giving up. Whether they have to jump, roll, or crawl, they are determined to reach the finish line.

The Hundred-Joint Bamboo is an exciting challenge that requires the dexterity and unity of the entire team. Each team is divided into two groups, using a rope to move the bamboo tube from the starting line to the finish line and arrange it into a bamboo column of five bamboo tubes. Members are only allowed to hold the end of the rope. If the rope or bamboo tube touches the ground, they must immediately return to the starting line and repeat the challenge. This means that members must practice patience and not be hasty.

Unity is the key to success.

The Balance Bike Challenge requires a high level of endurance and dexterity to get teammates to the finish line safely. In this challenge, each team must move 5 people from the starting line to the finish line. The “difficult” thing is that the transported person can only sit on the bike, not adjust the handlebars or pedal. Team members will use ropes to make the bike move and reach the finish line.

Knowledge, skills and beliefs are the deciding factors for the success or failure of an entire group.

The Giant Flying Saucer Challenge looks easy when the whole team moves to the finish line and throws the ball into the basket. However, this is a challenge that requires high skills in sharing with teammates and using body language in a rhythmic manner.

Vo Thi Thu Phuong - student of TCNH class 15.01 shared: "Every challenge has its own difficulties. However, they all bring useful lessons about team spirit and personal resilience. In particular, the challenges help me realize that I am very resilient, not as weak as I imagined."

Called "Great Southern Wisdom"

Putting aside the physical training session, the students entered a thrilling “battle of wits” called “Ring the Golden Bell – Searching for the Great Nam Wisdom”. Here, the contestants will be challenged with comprehensive knowledge about school, life, major, economics, politics, culture, society, sports, culture, etc.

Because there are only 15 seconds to think, search and give an answer, this part of the test requires logic and high reasoning ability. Besides, there are carefulness, presentation skills, and time management. Many candidates were unfortunately eliminated because of wrong accents, missing words, being too busy copying a proverb and not having time to give an answer, etc.

It can be said that the Golden Bell is the most emotional activity of the Advanced KNM Camp with surprising "turnarounds"; breathless chases, evenly matched; the happiness of returning to compete, the regret of leaving the arena. Not only that, there is also the sigh when missing out on victory by a hair's breadth or the tears of happiness when claiming the title "Dai Nam Wisdom".

Hai Yen - a student of TA 15.05 class expressed: "I am happy to be the first girl to win the Golden Bell challenge of the Advanced KNM Camp 2023. The competition has brought me a lot of useful knowledge and ups and downs. Especially knowing how to seize and take advantage of opportunities to assert myself after being rescued".

Discover your hidden acting and communication abilities

Entering the Evening Training Camp, students were able to express their opinions and views on hot social issues through drama activities. Having become familiar with the roles of director, screenwriter, actor, etc. at the “DNU Film Festival” competition, this competition was not difficult for the boys and girls of K15.

With the topics: What is the use of having a lot of money?; I know everything, but I don't know how to be reasonable; Admitting wrong and arguing right; What is the use of going to university?; Is building a personal brand just polishing one's name?; The point of view "One job to live, many jobs to die"; Trial living; Sugar Baby - Sugar Daddy,... Young people have brought attractive, interesting stories with clear content and messages.

The drama was engaging and brought many unforgettable emotions during the training evening.

The "explosive" acting talents surprised teachers and friends.

Many acting talents have officially appeared on the stage of the Advanced KNM Camp, affirming their own brands and becoming unforgettable names to teachers and friends. This is also the skill that the teachers of the KNM Training and Development Department wish to convey in this Training Camp.

“We hope that students will find their own strengths and develop them into personal brands. This will be a huge advantage for them in their future career development,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy, Head of the Faculty of Training and Development of KNM.

Although they are opponents at the Advanced KNM Training Camp, they are teammates, classmates, and comrades in study, work, and life.
