Dai Nam University continues to complete external quality assessment of 04 regular university training programs

After 4 days of continuous and responsible work, on the afternoon of January 17, 2024, Dai Nam University coordinated with the Center for Education Quality Assessment - VNU to organize the closing ceremony of the official external assessment (EIA) survey of 4 regular university training programs, including: Information Technology; Finance - Banking; Public Relations; Chinese Language.

The official external assessment survey of 04 undergraduate training programs of Dai Nam University took place from January 14-17, 2024.

Attending the Closing Ceremony, on behalf of the Center for Education Quality Assessment – VNU, there was the presence of Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien – Director of the Center.

On the side of the EIA expert delegation, there was the presence of Prof. Dr. Bang Tien Long - Former Deputy Minister of Education and Training - Head of the delegation; Dr. Tran Huu Luong - Head of Cooperation - Development Department - Secretary; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Toan - Deputy Director of the Center, Chairman of the Education Quality Assessment Council - Member and members of the EIA delegation.

On the side of Dai Nam University, there were Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the University Council, Board of Directors, leaders of functional Departments/Offices, leaders of 04 self-assessing faculties, members of the Self-Assessment Council of training programs, along with staff - lecturers and students of the assessed training programs.

After 4 working days, the Evaluation Team carried out the following evaluation activities: Researching evidence, discussing/interviewing with Departments/Offices in charge of training program areas; Interviewing school leaders, leaders of functional Departments/Offices, faculty leaders, lecturers, students, alumni, employers, support staff, union staff; Surveying the employment situation of graduates online; Visiting facilities, practice rooms, laboratories, libraries, offices of 4 training programs... to verify the information in the school's self-assessment report. From there, recommendations were made to help improve and enhance the quality of 4 training programs.

Prof. Dr. Bang Tien Long reported the results of the official survey of 4 training programs.

Dr. Tran Huu Luong acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of Dai Nam University and pointed out the points that need improvement in the 04 training programs.

At the Closing Session of the official survey, the Evaluation Team presented the preliminary results of the quality assessment of the four training programs. The expected issues of the report were the strengths that need to be further promoted and the shortcomings that need to be overcome. Accordingly, the Evaluation Team made valuable recommendations that were consistent with the development orientation of the School and in accordance with current regulations.

The Delegation also acknowledged the achievements of Dai Nam University, its efforts and attempts to overcome challenges in nearly two decades of construction and development of the University.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Bang Tien Long congratulated Dai Nam University for completing the official survey with good quality. Prof. Dr. Bang Tien Long highly appreciated the strengths of the University, such as: Spacious, green - clean - beautiful facilities; Good student support services; High rate of graduates with jobs in their majors; Team of highly qualified, experienced and enthusiastic lecturers and staff; System of prestigious training affiliated enterprises...

Prof. Dr. Bang Tien Long also acknowledged and thanked the leadership, staff, lecturers and students of Dai Nam University for closely coordinating with the expert team during the official survey at the school, ensuring that the assessment and survey activities were accurate, honest and objective, based on evidence and in accordance with current regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Center for Education Quality Assessment - VNU.

Dr. Le Dac Son: “Evaluating the quality of training programs is a premise for Dai Nam to improve training quality, realize its vision and mission…”

Speaking at the Closing Session, Dr. Le Dac Son pledged: Dai Nam University will do better so that students can study and experience in the best university environment, and have good jobs and high incomes after graduation.

“The comments from the Evaluation Team are extremely valuable to Dai Nam. The University will review and re-evaluate the aspects that need improvement and make a detailed revision plan as quickly as possible, committed to finding every solution to improve quality. Up to now, Dai Nam University has completed the evaluation of 8 regular university training programs. In the coming time, the University will continue to promote the evaluation of the quality of other training programs to improve the training quality, realize the vision and mission of the University…” Dr. Le Dac Son emphasized.

At the end of the closing session, Dai Nam University and the Center for Education Quality Assessment - VNU and the Delegation of Evaluators signed the Minutes of Completion of the official survey to assess the quality of regular university-level training programs of 04 majors: Information Technology; Finance - Banking; Public Relations; Chinese Language.
