Recently, Dai Nam University solemnly held a conference to deploy tasks for the new school year 2023 - 2024. This is an annual activity to synchronously deploy key tasks of the new year in accordance with the school's development strategy. With a determined spirit, all staff, lecturers and employees are ready to "change to break through" in this new school year.

The school's leadership, faculty leaders, staff, lecturers and employees solemnly performed the flag-saluting ceremony.

The School Board's quick, timely, and appropriate direction in line with social trends and needs has brought positive results throughout the system. In the 2023-2024 school year, enrollment work has successfully completed the set targets.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the school board affirmed: "Entering this school year, Dai Nam University has a solid position in the university system; our brand and reputation are trusted and recognized by society. This result is the effort of the whole system and we have the right to be proud of that..."

Mr. Le Dac Son affirmed: "Dai Nam University enters the 2023-2024 school year with a completely different position in the university system."

“Along with the positive changes in the school's activities in terms of infrastructure - landscape, training quality, enrollment scale, learning equipment, etc., these are the foundations to affirm that from now until 2027, Dai Nam University will certainly rise to a higher rank in the Vietnamese higher education system,” said Mr. Le Dac Son.

Change to break through

To open up and break through in the new period, Mr. Le Dac Son emphasized: “To change, first of all we need to open up, liberate our thinking, and change our way of thinking. If we keep thinking in the old way, we will never be able to develop…”

First of all , about the mindset when coming to school . Every cadre, lecturer, and employee should always consider Dai Nam as a big house, join hands to build that house to grow and become stronger. How can we make sure that when we step into the school gate, we always feel happy. When we are happy, we will definitely bring happiness to our colleagues, students, parents, etc.

The attitude at work that promotes a culture of criticism is a “specialty” of Dai Nam University. Leaders at all levels must listen to the opinions and viewpoints of employees to make changes together. At the same time, they must have the ability to persuade and guide subordinates. Teachers should listen to the opinions, thoughts, and aspirations of students to make appropriate changes in teaching methods, teacher-student relationships, etc.

Mr. Le Dac Son hopes that the whole system will "join in", change their mindset and way of thinking to make a breakthrough together in the new period.

Regarding responsibility, Mr. Le Dac Son divided into 4 groups of subjects:

With the Board of Directors: Must fulfill assigned responsibilities, according to the assigned area; plan, implement and evaluate the development roadmap. Coordinate activities smoothly between Board members and Faculties to come up with effective work solutions.

With Heads of Faculties, Departments, Boards, Institutes, and Centers: In addition to the responsibility of commanding the industry, teachers also represent Faculties, Departments, Boards, Institutes, and Centers in meetings; promoting cooperation between units in the school.

“I hope that teachers will try to build a clean collective. In the sectors, departments, and offices, there will be exchanges, mutual support to further enrich their sectors,” emphasized Mr. Le Dac Son.

With the team of lecturers - the core that determines the quality of direct training of the School, therefore, it is necessary to be meticulous in teaching from style, appearance, dress, gestures, speech to lecture content. Penetrate practice to improve lecture quality, innovate teaching methods to achieve the highest efficiency; encourage and guide students to participate in scientific research; promote academic counseling, career guidance, support students when facing difficulties.

For training service staff, it is necessary to ensure security and safety for staff, lecturers and students when coming to school to work and study. Ensure environmental hygiene so that everyone can rest assured about a clean, airy and comfortable workplace.

Mr. Le Dac Son concluded: “When we all agree to transform, change our thinking, change our way of thinking, we are completely confident to enter a new era of sustainable and comprehensive development. Realizing the plan targets, by 2030, DNU will become the TOP CHOICE of learners with the majors being trained at the school”.

13 key tasks in the 2023-2024 school year

1. Communication and recruitment – dual tasks, top priority. Aiming to increase the training scale to 20,000 – 25,000 students by 2027.

2. Promote digital transformation, apply digital technology synchronously and connect throughout all activities of the School.

3. Supplement and perfect the organizational structure, develop the staff, lecturers and employees of the School towards efficiency - quality - fairness.

4. Focus on building and preparing conditions to ensure quality for developing and opening new training programs quickly, meeting the needs of learners in a sustainable direction.

5. Flexible training organization, comprehensive development.

6. Improve research and technology transfer capacity of staff and lecturers; develop scientific research work in the direction of applied research.

7. Development cooperation work is promoted towards caring for and expanding the School's partnerships.

8. Testing work needs to continue to be promoted in the direction of standardization, modernization, and reducing exam pressure.

All officers, lecturers and staff of Dai Nam University are ready to "change to break through" in the 2023-2024 school year.

9. Continue to improve the activities in the school's quality assurance work.

10. Student affairs need to pay special attention and accompany units and youth unions to monitor and care for students, best support students' spiritual life and effectively manage student affairs.

11. Infrastructure work needs to continue to be invested and improved to meet the training scale of the School.

12. Career and alumni affairs need to effectively and regularly promote business connection activities, job connection and financial support sources for students.
