Dai Nam University: Raising a warm home, lighting up the future

Responding to the sustainable poverty reduction program of Ha Dong district, Dai Nam University (DNU) recently provided funding to support house repairs for families in especially difficult circumstances in Ha Dong district. This practical action not only demonstrates the spirit of mutual love of Vietnamese people but also affirms the social responsibility of Dai Nam University, contributing to building a united and warm community.
The family receiving support is Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai, living in Yen Thanh residential group, Bien Giang ward. Her husband passed away early, so Ms. Hai has to struggle every day to make a living and provide meals for her children. The old, dilapidated house, which is not safe during the rainy season, makes her family's life even more difficult.
Realizing this difficulty, Dai Nam University allocated 60 million VND from the charity fund contributed by the school's staff, lecturers and students so that the family could renovate the house.
With the new house, Ms. Hai and her children will have a safer, cleaner and more comfortable living space. They will have better conditions to study and play.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai shared: “The cost of repairing the house is like a precious gift that the school’s staff, lecturers and students have given to my family. We are extremely grateful for the kindness of the teachers and students. After the house is renovated, my children will have a better environment to study and develop.”
Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice President of Dai Nam University Council: "Although the gift is small, it contains the deep affection of all staff, lecturers and students of the school. We hope that this support will give the family more motivation to overcome difficulties."
This small action not only brings joy to a family but also spreads the message of love and sharing in the community. Continuing the tradition of “mutual love” and “helping each other”, Dai Nam University will continue to accompany the community, joining hands to build a better society.
The school hopes that organizations and individuals will join hands to help people in difficult circumstances, to make society warmer.
