Dai Nam University signs cooperation agreement with IMAP Vietnam: Students “benefit” greatly from foreign language training

In order to improve the quality of training, meet the needs of society, link training with practice, aim to improve English proficiency, soft skills, ensure TOEIC output standards for students; recently, Dai Nam University signed a cooperation agreement with IMAP Vietnam Education and Training Joint Stock Company - Ms. Hoa International English.

Attending the signing ceremony, on behalf of Dai Nam University, there were: Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the University Council; Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Hong - Principal and leaders of the Faculties, Departments and Offices of the University.

On behalf of IMAP Vietnam, there were: Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors; Ms. Nguyen Thi Giang - General Director; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh - Director of the Northern and Central regions; and colleagues.

Step by step leading generations of students to be good at foreign languages and have solid skills

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Le Dac Son affirmed: “Knowing another foreign language is living another life. Foreign languages are not only a supplementary tool but also a “weapon” for international integration, expanding career opportunities for students…”

Therefore, Dai Nam University always focuses on foreign language training for students, especially English; aiming to train students to integrate internationally. Accordingly, the University constantly innovates the program based on the contributions of leading experts in the field of languages from many prestigious universities nationwide. In particular, to maximize the experience between learning and practice, improve students' qualifications and skills, and expand internship and work opportunities for students, Dai Nam University constantly expands cooperation with leading businesses and English education organizations in Vietnam.

Students “benefit” from English training

According to the signed cooperation agreement, Dai Nam University cooperates with IMAP Vietnam to organize short-term training programs, skills training, workshops for students such as: training in bilingual program hosting skills; voice skills; body language management in communication activities; job application skills; additional soft skills, etc. Students can meet, share and learn experiences from famous speakers at professional seminars. At the same time, IMAP Vietnam supports training, improving teaching methods and skills for lecturers.

The "handshake" between Dai Nam University and IMAP Vietnam is a stepping stone to further develop students' foreign language skills.

In particular, Dai Nam University invests a large amount of money in English training for students majoring in Medicine and Pharmacy (training costs are 4 times higher than other majors).

Accordingly, IMAP Vietnam directly trains and ensures TOEIC standards for medical and pharmacy students at Dai Nam University. Students are tested for English proficiency, divided into classes according to their level; have a learning path and take an output exam assessed by IIG (a third party) to ensure objectivity.

After 3 years of training cooperation, the TOEIC level of K14 Medical students has increased dramatically, specifically: For the class with an input of 200 TOEIC points, after 3 years 93% of students achieved results of 600 TOEIC points. For the class with an input of 300 TOEIC points, 96% of students achieved output results of 700 points.

With the above efforts, the School aims to realize its goal of training a generation of doctors and pharmacists with foreign language skills, fluent listening, speaking, reading and writing, meeting the working standards in the international hospital market.

Many students have made remarkable progress, such as: student Nguyen Vu Duc - class YDK 14.01 achieved 920/990 TOEIC points; Nguyen Minh Hang - class YDK 14.01 achieved 915 points; Hoang Gia Khanh - class YDK 14.01 achieved 820 points.

After this success, Dai Nam University continues to "join hands" with IMAP Vietnam to implement the TOEIC training plan for K15 Medical and Pharmacy students.
