Dai Nam University won the 2nd prize of National Futsal VUG 2023

Overcoming many “heavyweight” opponents to participate in the National Futsal Finals – Vietnam Student Sports Tournament (VUG), taking place on the afternoon of December 24; the Dai Nam University Futsal team has demonstrated the spirit of a formidable “challenger to the throne”.

The final match for the VUG National Futsal Championship was a match between Dai Nam University and Duy Tan University (Da Nang). With technical play and fierce fighting spirit, the two teams gave the audience a tense and dramatic match. During the two fierce matches, Dai Nam University Futsal team brought many assists and beautiful passes; receiving enthusiastic cheers from the fans.

With youthful energy and a passionate love for sports, nearly 200 teachers and students of Dai Nam University came to Cau Giay Stadium; enthusiastically cheering, adding energy and "fighting" spirit to the "DNU lions". Everyone was proud when the Dai Nam University Futsal team defeated many "heavyweight" opponents to participate for the first time in the National Futsal Finals - VUG 2023.

Representatives of the School Council and Board of Directors came to "fuel" the players' spirit.

Although only winning the runner-up prize, the Dai Nam University Futsal team still affirmed its bravery, determination, and resilience; a "formidable" opponent of the VUG Futsal Championship 2023. This also proves that the effort to promote sports activities and physical training to develop comprehensively in terms of physical and mental health; creating a lifelong training habit for students of Dai Nam University is completely correct.

In the meeting before the Futsal team of Dai Nam University participated in the tournament, Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice President of the School Board, Vice Principal shared sincere words with the players: “First of all, I congratulate you, congratulate your parents and families for giving birth to you and knowing how to preserve and improve your health. The greatest happiness of a parent is to see their child healthy, well-behaved and disciplined. Sports teach you that. You participate in the tournament with the spirit of the flag and the colors of the shirt. However, I hope you compete with a relaxed spirit, without pressure about winning or losing, but be happy in every ball... No matter what, you always have the school and teachers behind you to cheer you on wholeheartedly. Dai Nam University is proud of you”.

It was Ms. Cao Thi Hoa’s sharing and encouragement that gave the Dai Nam University Futsal team the motivation to create a miracle; to advance to the Finals and win the runner-up prize. This was a solid stepping stone for the whole team to be determined to win the “throne” in the following years.

Player Tran Thien Quang - Captain of Dai Nam University team shared: "To achieve this result, we cannot fail to mention the great attention and investment of the University in student sports activities. Thank you to the teachers and fans who have always accompanied, encouraged and cheered us on in all activities. This year we have not "harvested gold" but we will definitely win the championship next year..."

Dai Nam University Futsal Team left many good impressions at this year's tournament.

To encourage the players, the School Council, the Board of Directors, and teachers who are leaders of units, officers, and lecturers have "given a bonus" to the Futsal team of Dai Nam University. Hopefully, this will be a great source of motivation for the players to have more breakthroughs and make Dai Nam University more famous.

Ms. Cao Thi Hoa – Vice President of the School Council awarded, encouraged and supported the DNU players before the Semi-finals. She continued to “reward” when the home team entered the Finals and won the Runner-up position.

In the coming time, Dai Nam University will continue to promote sports activities; select talents to train and nurture to become "sports cores" to participate in "fighting" in major arenas nationwide.
