“DNU Books and Actions” Club: A journey to spread reading culture of book lovers

No one is successful without a great teacher. That is Books. In the role of coaches, teachers in the classroom help students to open up knowledge, search for and exploit documents well. If they want to improve their knowledge, unleash their emotions, creativity, and cultivate their personality, Gen Z must "make friends" with a special teacher - Books. Born with the mission of spreading the love of books, promoting the habit of self-reading and lifelong self-learning for students, the "Books and Action" Club of Dai Nam University (DNU) has done a very good job of its assigned tasks; becoming a "meeting place" for people who share the same passion for reading, a trusted address for units to "join hands" to implement book projects for the community.
How does Dai Nam University "get involved" in reading culture?
Emphasizing the role of books and the need for reading, every year, Dai Nam University allocates a large budget for providing books and textbooks. Whatever books teachers and students need, the school will urgently supplement; even give them away. The school's library currently has more than 10,000 new books, diverse in genres and constantly updated on the electronic library so that teachers and students can read anytime, anywhere.
The modern library with more than 10,000 new books is an ideal meeting place for DNU teachers and students to read books, research documents, review lessons...
To create a reading habit for staff, lecturers and students; Dai Nam University focuses on promoting the Book movement with students and lecturers; Book Festival, book donation/exchange activities, launching the "Books and Action" Club... Especially this year, Dai Nam University hosts the Book and Action Gala - "The Hyphen", with a scale of up to nearly 2,000 students nationwide participating.
Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice President of the School Board, Vice Principal, who is always "anxious" to develop a reading culture in the student community, shared: "People only think of feeding their stomachs but often forget about food for the brain? The best food for the brain is probably books. Dai Nam University always strives to guide students to read books, to receive endless knowledge in books - one of the four great teachers. Reading books not only gives knowledge but also makes people more humane, more kind, to live together better, love more, especially to avoid school violence."
Historian Le Van Lan came to share with students of Dai Nam University; at the same time, he encouraged and motivated the "DNU Books and Actions" Club.
