DNU Cup 2023: Which alliance will win the championship?

After 160 matches, the final match of DNU Cup 2023 took place with fierce competition between the alliance from the Faculty of Business Administration and the alliance from the Faculty of Communication. After 2 intense matches, the Champion of the season was officially revealed.

DNU Cup is an annual sports tournament for students of Dai Nam University organized by the Youth Union of Dai Nam University with the aim of creating a healthy and useful playground to connect new students; maintain and promote the sports movement; enhance the spirit of solidarity among students in the whole school.

At the Opening Ceremony of the DNU Cup 2023 Finals, Ms. Le Thi Thanh Huong - Vice Principal of the school shared: "The DNU Cup Football Tournament is a playground and forum for students to connect with each other and expand their relationships. Through these mass activities, students studying at the school will be more connected, have new friends, and experience a meaningful student life together" .

DNU Cup 2023 is the largest tournament ever organized with 2 stages: preliminary round and final round. The tournament will take place with 160 intense and thrilling matches. The final round alone will have the participation of 40 teams.

The tournament is organized and operated methodically, elaborately and professionally. The matches take place on a system of large, beautiful and modern fields; all competing teams have invested carefully in costumes, creating their own colors; the way of organizing the competition and operating the season is professional according to Fifa standards; the referees are experienced and highly specialized people from prestigious sports organizations; the medical work for the season is also carefully prepared by the Organizing Committee from medical staff, stretchers, first aid support tools, etc.

In particular, the School Board always closely monitors, encourages and motivates the teams in a timely manner. In addition, the season also has the support and companionship of many cadres and lecturers from faculties, departments, offices, institutes and centers in the school.

Evaluating this year's season, Mr. Vu Dang Tuan Anh - Secretary of the School Youth Union said: "This year's season still upholds a high level of professionalism from organization to competition attitude. In particular, the 2023 DNU Cup season has witnessed an explosion in the scale of organization with 66 competing teams and more than 1,000 participating players, showing the spread of the sports movement in the student community studying at the school" .

The final match of DNU Cup 2023 took place with the competition between the joint team of the Faculty of Business Administration (including classes: QTKD 16-06, KDQT 16-01 and Mar 17-06) and the joint team of the Faculty of Communication (including classes: TTĐPT 15-01, 15-02, 16-01 and 17-03).

After two fierce matches, the players of both teams fought with all their might, bringing beautiful dribbling moves.

In the end, the boys from the Faculty of Business Administration won the championship with an overwhelming victory of 3-0.

The moment the team from the Faculty of Business Administration lifted the championship trophy.

Faculty of Communication maintained the runner-up title for the second consecutive season.

With this result, the boys from the Faculty of Communication defended their runner-up position for the second consecutive season.

Bronze medal for the boys from the 17-10 Information Technology team.

The third place belongs to the IT rookie 17-10 after eliminating the seniors in the same department on penalty kicks. This is a beautiful ending for the rookie of the tournament, promising strong development of the team in the future.

With 10 goals scored, player Nguyen Van Hoang was honored as the top scorer of DNU Cup 2023.

Also in the season, the title of Top Scorer was awarded to player Nguyen Van Hoang from the Faculty of Business Administration - who contributed 10 goals for the home team.

In the coming time, Dai Nam University will continue to organize large-scale sports tournaments, not only as a playground for staff, lecturers and students in the school but also as a forum for exchange and connection between the school and educational institutions in Hanoi.
