DNU Health Students: The lecture hall is a 24/7 hospital "real combat"

On December 5, Ha Dong General Hospital handed over the Library - Lecture Hall to Dai Nam University. Accordingly, the hospital library will also be used as a lecture hall for students of the Faculty of Medicine and Nursing of Dai Nam University, helping students have more opportunities to study directly at the hospital, "stick to the hospital 24/7", and be exposed to a professional working environment, blurring the boundary between lecture hall and hospital.

Dai Nam University and Ha Dong General Hospital signed the handover minutes of the Library - Lecture Hall.

Attending the Handover Ceremony, on behalf of Dai Nam University, there were: Dr. Le Thi Thanh Huong - Vice Principal of the school; Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Duc Hanh - Head of Faculty of Medicine; Dr. Tran Quang Huy - Head of Faculty of Nursing; along with staff and lecturers of Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Nursing.

On the side of Ha Dong General Hospital, there were: BSCK.II Le Hoang Tu - Deputy Director in charge of the hospital; Dr. Nguyen Van Thang - Deputy Director of the hospital; and representatives of the hospital's specialized departments and offices.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Le Thi Thanh Huong emphasized: Dai Nam University always identifies the school's Health sector as a special sector, because this is a sector that directly affects the health and life of the community.

Therefore, the school pays special attention to clinical internship activities for students, through promoting cooperation with hospitals so that students can "stick to the hospital" 24/7, study theory and practice clinical at the hospital under the guidance of a team of Associate Professors, Doctors, Masters, Specialists I, II, eliminating the gap between the classroom and the hospital.

Dr. Le Thi Thanh Huong - Vice Principal of Dai Nam University emphasized the school's policy of training closely linked to practice.

In particular, after Ha Dong General Hospital hands over the Library - Lecture Hall to Dai Nam University, students will have more opportunities to study right at the hospital, learn from experienced medical staff, access modern medical equipment systems, thereby developing the knowledge and practical skills needed to become good doctors and nurses after graduation.

In addition, when being “at the hospital” 24/7, students will have comprehensive access to the hospital, thereby better understanding the medical examination and treatment process, patient care process, basic and advanced medical practice skills; practicing professional manners in patient service attitude, behavior in the hospital environment; accumulating practical work experience.

Dr. Le Thi Thanh Huong expressed her confidence: “With a lecture hall located right in the hospital library, students will be exposed to the most practical aspects of the profession. Dai Nam University will join hands with the hospital to train generations of high-quality, dynamic, professionally qualified and ethical medical staff to serve the health of the community.”

The Handover Ceremony of the Library - Lecture Hall marks a new development step in the comprehensive cooperation relationship between Ha Dong General Hospital and Dai Nam University.

Previously, in June 2023, Dai Nam University and Ha Dong General Hospital signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement. Accordingly, Ha Dong General Hospital will become the main practice facility for students of the Health Department of Dai Nam University, along with the University's leading partner hospitals, such as Bach Mai Hospital, Viet Duc Hospital, National Children's Hospital, National Maternity Hospital, Xanh-Pon Hospital, Hanoi Maternity Hospital, etc. Dai Nam University coordinates with the hospital to organize the granting of certificates of pedagogical skills, medical pedagogical methods, and clinical teaching methods for hospital staff who meet the standards of practicing lecturers according to regulations; invite hospital staff to participate in building and developing training programs; participate in teaching; cooperate in scientific research, etc.
