DNU's key leadership team: Not only must they master their expertise, but they must also enhance their management and global capabilities.

At the training session to improve the capacity of key leaders of faculties in the training program for cadres, lecturers and staff in the 2023-2024 academic year of Dai Nam University, Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the University Council and representatives of the Board of Directors shared about the management and operation methods at the Faculty level, building training programs (CTDT) to ensure compliance with accreditation standards. Accordingly, key leaders of Dai Nam University are not only experts in their fields of expertise but also must improve their management capacity and overall ability to oversee all the work and personnel of their unit.
Imbued with the 3X-2S formula: “Export work – Close work – Check work – Review work, review people (is it suitable) – Export file (take responsibility for work)”
Dr. Le Dac Son directly taught the class and shared about the organization and management methods at the Faculty level.
At the training session, Dr. Le Dac Son affirmed: Key leaders of the faculties are the extended arms of the School Council and the Board of Directors in implementing the development strategy and action policies of the School in the new period; especially in building, adjusting and supplementing the training program associated with the output standards of each course.
From the 2023-2024 school year, the whole school will implement 03 semesters/school year training (applied from students of course 17). The goal of this is to shorten the training time of students but still ensure the quality according to output standards. Accordingly, the leaders of the Faculties need to focus on building training programs and detailed outlines of subjects. Before July 2023, the detailed outlines of subjects of the first year must be completed.
Department leaders listened seriously and took full notes.
Dr. Le Dac Son emphasized: Faculty leaders must closely monitor the work of the faculty, from the biggest to the smallest tasks; it is necessary to design a suitable organizational structure, divide the responsibilities of each staff to manage and supervise work flexibly and effectively.
“The Head of the Department must organize his own apparatus to oversee and supervise the work; monitor and evaluate the quality and efficiency of each staff and lecturer in the Department. When an incident occurs, the person who is primarily responsible must be the Head of the Department.”
Dr. Le Dac Son directed the Deans to manage and evaluate the work of lecturers to ensure effective operation and achieve the set goals of the Faculty. This needs to be done every semester and school year. At the same time, the Faculties need to determine the need to recruit new lecturers to ensure the quantity and quality of teaching.
The Faculty Leaders are the extended arms of the School Council and the Board of Directors.
In addition, the Faculties need to promote activities for students such as: Organizing artistic activities; Organizing clubs according to the wishes of the majority of students in the Faculty; Organizing tours and explorations for students; participating in volunteer activities, sports activities... Creating a dynamic and modern learning environment for students to "learn while playing, play while learning", fully develop their creativity.
