With the mission of providing knowledge for learners to develop comprehensively and adapt to the requirements of society, Dai Nam University constantly innovates its training programs and educational methods to suit the trends and needs of society. The development orientation of the University in the new period is to focus all resources towards the model of Startup and Innovation University (KN&DMST). The signing ceremony of the "Project to sponsor and consult 1000 young entrepreneurs according to the BGS Global model" between Dai Nam University and BGS Global is an activity within that policy of the University.

Attending the program, on behalf of Dai Nam University, there were: Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Hong - Principal; Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Thi Lien - Vice Principal, Head of Business Administration Faculty; leaders of Departments, Offices, Institutes, Faculties; lecturers and students of the Faculties.

On the business side, there were: Mr. David Tan Nguyen - Chairman of BGS Global Vietnam; Ms. Le Khanh Linh - Head of Customer Service Department, BrainMark Vietnam, Representative of BGS Global in the North; Ms. Vu Thi Kieu Anh - Head of Human Resources Department, Amber Holdings; Mr. Ngo Phu Manh - Head of Human Resources Department, Vinh Phuc Pharmaceutical (Vinphaco).

Speaking at the program, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Hong said: “The purpose of the School is to focus all resources to equip students with entrepreneurial thinking, the mindset of getting rich, and being a boss instead of just equipping them with knowledge and skills to apply for jobs. With such a training spirit, the School is very pleased that BGS raised the issue of cooperation and implementing activities within the framework of supporting 1,000 young people to start businesses according to the BGS Global model. I hope that the cooperation between the two sides will provide students with skills, ideas and opportunities to implement startup projects in the future…”

Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Hong affirmed: Science and Technology is the development orientation of Dai Nam University in the new development stage.

Students are funded to carry out start-up projects.

According to Mr. David Tan Nguyen: The project to sponsor and advise 1,000 young people to start businesses following the BGS Global model is a national program. Currently, 50 provincial People's Committees, 50 corporations and 50 universities have committed to accompany.

The project is implemented in 4 phases. Accordingly, phase 1 will focus on organizing the workshop "Successful start-up according to the BGS Global model". Phase 2 will train the BGS Global model in start-ups. Phase 3 will provide advice on each practical start-up plan. Phase 4 will invest and advise on actual business operations.

Mr. David Tan Nguyen committed to creating all conditions for DNU students to participate in the project.

Mr. David Tan Nguyen shared: “With this project, BGS Global hopes to become a bridge between businesses and the School, helping students gain more skills and knowledge to be more successful in the future. We commit that students who register to participate in the program will be trained in business management skills; suggestions, advice on ideas... Feasible start-up projects will be funded by BGS, with management models and accompanied by experts to implement.”

The signing of the cooperation will open up many opportunities for both sides.

Students ask questions – businesses answer

After the Signing Ceremony, there was a discussion program with teachers and businesses. Here, students had the opportunity to discuss and ask questions directly to BGS Global representatives and businesses participating in the program.

In response to the question: “Should students start a business early or wait until graduation to start a business?” , Mr. Ngo Phu Manh affirmed: “Students should start a business early to accumulate skills and experience for themselves. That will be the premise for you to come up with big startup ideas and projects in the future. However, before starting a business, ask yourself the following questions: Is this idea feasible? Am I really passionate? Can I accept the risk? Do I have the talent for business?... When the answer is yes, then you will have enough courage to start a business.”

Students actively asked questions to business representatives.

Mr. Ngo Phu Manh commented: Students should start a business early, don't wait until they graduate to start a business.

Agreeing with the above opinion, Ms. Vu Thi Kieu Anh said: “There are many reasons why a business fails. It could be due to a poor idea, lack of capital, ineffective use of financial resources… However, the most important reason is the endurance, perseverance and tenacity of the business. Before deciding to invest in a business, a start-up, we must see their perseverance, persistence and determination. Otherwise, even if we invest money, that business will find it difficult to develop sustainably.”

Ms. Kieu Anh was surprised by the "tricky" questions of DNU students.

Receiving the question: "How to get selected and invested in startup ideas by BGS Global?" , Mr. David Tan Nguyen said: The first thing is that students need to register to participate in the program. After that, BGS will send experts to accompany and guide students in setting up ideas. This is the time for you to promote your creativity and passion for business.

“BGS Global always creates all conditions for young people to have the opportunity to realize their own startup projects. As long as the project is feasible, meeting the requirements of businesses and society. If you have not received investment or capital support, you will also have a mentor. Who knows, your ideas will be perfected in the future and you can make a lot of money from it. Just boldly submit your ideas, boldly do them, success will certainly not forget you,” said Mr. Tan Nguyen.

Mr. David Tan Nguyen affirmed: There is no limit for DNU students when participating in the "Project to sponsor and advise 1000 young people to start a business according to the BGS Global model".

The seminar provided students with an overview of entrepreneurship, starting a business, and the desires and requirements of businesses. This helped young people set goals and study hard to realize their dream of starting a business, becoming an owner instead of an employee.

To quickly - strongly - sustainably implement the model of university of science and technology, in the coming time, Dai Nam University will continue to train and foster a pioneering team to lead, develop entrepreneurial thinking and innovation for students; connect knowledge - entrepreneurial knowledge of experts with teachers and students; promote the spirit of creativity, idealize the dreams of young people, making an important contribution to the educational career of the University in particular and the whole country in general.
