Establishment of "Student Employment and Entrepreneurship" Center to ensure 100% of students have jobs after graduation

With the goal of accompanying and supporting students, alumni, parents, and employers to connect and develop together for life; ensuring that every student studying at the University receives the best career support from the time of admission until graduation and future career development, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dai Nam University has just signed Decision No. 158/QD-DN on the establishment of the "Career & Entrepreneurship Center".

According to statistics from the Center for Training Support and Human Resource Supply (Ministry of Education and Training), every year there are more than 400,000 bachelors graduating from school. However, the unemployment rate is nearly 20%. The number of students with high capacity (Knowledge, Foreign Language, Attitude) that can immediately meet the requirements of businesses is only 5-10%; 30% have good capacity; more than 50% have average and weak capacity and must be retrained at recruiting businesses.

These figures “sound” an alarm bell for universities: It is necessary to change training methods, career orientation, connection and job introduction for students right from when they are still in school. Career guidance, connection of career opportunities, supplementary training for students to do well in their careers - Connecting families, schools, students, workers and businesses is a task that any training institution must seriously carry out.

With the mission: "Training students to have a good life and be good citizens after graduation" , Dai Nam University constantly innovates its training programs, improves the quality of its teaching staff, builds a strategic cooperation network with prestigious domestic and foreign enterprises, corporations, and training institutions to expand opportunities for practice, internship, and employment for students. Students are trained according to the needs of businesses and society; aiming for 100% of graduates to have jobs and good income. Establishing the "Student Employment and Entrepreneurship" Center is a strategic task that has been specified by the University in Action Policy No. 05: "Establishing a Center for Employment Support to help students find jobs immediately after graduation." Only when students have jobs after graduation can the University's training responsibility be fulfilled - that is the order of the University Council Chairman assigned to the "Student Employment and Entrepreneurship" Center.

Dr. Le Dac Son presented the decision to appoint MSc. Pham Thi Dung as Deputy Director of the Center for "Student Employment and Entrepreneurship".

Dr. Le Dac Son shared: “The school must support and accompany students from the time they enter school until they have a stable job, not just give them a university or graduate degree to complete the task. To do that, Dai Nam must have a Center to support employment and start-ups for students and alumni…”

MSc. Pham Thi Dung - Deputy Director of the Center for "Student Employment and Entrepreneurship" of Dai Nam University said: "The Center not only has the task of connecting and introducing jobs to students, but is also a place for generations of alumni and trainees to return and use the University's human resource recruitment support ecosystem; creating a circular Employment and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in accordance with the orientation of the University Council".

Development goal - vision to 2028, the Center becomes the largest place to support Jobs and Start-ups for students in the Southwest region of Hanoi.

With the mission of "Accompanying and supporting students, alumni, parents, and employers to connect and develop together for life", the Center will carry out the following tasks:

Firstly , support and help arrange for students to do internships and part-time jobs in their majors during their time at school.

Second, create jobs in the right field for graduating students and alumni.

Third, create connections and build a system of reputable and responsible partners in recruiting and training students.

Fourth, coordinate care and receive feedback from Enterprises receiving interns and working students to serve the work of evaluating the effectiveness of internship programs, training programs or changing and improving training programs.

Fifth, coordinate the organization of competitions, courses, and student Startup projects.

Sixth, organize pre-business supplementary training courses for students.
