Graduates must have a job immediately, need to supplement knowledge and skills, Dai Nam University urgently

That was the affirmation of Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Principal in the Opening Ceremony of "Additional knowledge and skills training course for students to have jobs immediately after graduation" held on the morning of April 22 at Dai Nam University.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Principal emphasized: "Over the past 16 years, Dai Nam University has always been concerned about how to train students to have good jobs and be good citizens after graduation. To achieve that goal, the University has built a very specific, core learning ecosystem, teaching knowledge closely linked to skills and maximizing the experience for students. However, an obvious reality is happening at all universities, students graduate with good professional knowledge but lack and are weak in basic skills (office IT, CV writing skills, interview answering skills...), causing their job applications to be rejected from the first round, having to do jobs outside their expertise, and becoming unemployed. It's not that schools don't teach, they even teach very systematically, but most students learn these skills subjectively, take them lightly, and find them unnecessary... It's a pity if just because of those seemingly simple gaps, after 4 years, 5 years, 6 years of university students still struggle to find a job to earn money to support themselves but cannot. Wasting so much time, effort, and money that parents have invested in their education. That is why, before the final year students graduate, Dai Nam University wants to get close to each student to see what they are lacking and weak in order to supplement…”

Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Principal said: Dai Nam University always accompanies and provides the best support for students not only during their time studying at the school but also after graduation.

According to Ms. Cao Thi Hoa, this is the ideal time for final year students to update their knowledge and skills to best prepare themselves for life.

Accordingly, participating in the training course, final year students of Dai Nam University are supplemented with 06 important groups of knowledge and skills, including: Self-understanding skills; office computer skills; CV writing skills; interview answering skills; planning skills; job adaptation skills by orientation experts from Youth Plus Education Technology Joint Stock Company.

The first class of the training course attracted nearly 100 students to register. The training course, which costs nearly 7 million VND, is completely free for the first 100 students to register.

By participating in the course, students will be granted a Certificate upon completion of the training topics (The Certificate is confirmed by Dai Nam University and Youth Plus Educational Technology Joint Stock Company, with legal value nationwide); and will be supplemented with knowledge and skills to develop themselves and confidently enter the business environment.

The training course "Supplementing knowledge and skills to get a job immediately" started with the topic "Self-understanding skills" by expert Ha Tien Dat - Vice President of the World Federation of Young Leaders and Entrepreneurs - Thang Long chapter (JCI Thang Long) 2023, co-founder of Youth+.

Students confidently discuss and discover their own strengths and weaknesses.
