Just entering university, DNU students "grabbed" the prize in the "Chinese spelling" contest

In order to create an environment for students to practice and demonstrate their Chinese language skills; to discover, select and train representatives of the Chinese Language Department to participate in national Chinese language competitions; recently, the Chinese Language and Culture Department organized a "Chinese Character Spelling" contest for first-year students.
The contest attracted the participation of many students of K16, Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture.
Breathtaking search for the Champion
Dr. Vu Thi Ha - Head of the Department of Chinese Language and Culture said: This is a traditional competition, creating opportunities for first-year students to show their talents and gain more experience in practicing Chinese. Thereby, cultivating knowledge of Chinese, love for Chinese Language, and attachment to the Department and the University.
The 2023 "Chinese Character Spelling" Contest is for K16 students majoring in Chinese Language; using simplified Chinese characters, the scope is mainly vocabulary according to the first-year curriculum.
15 teams (3 members/team) participated in 3 competitions: Listening to words and writing; Writing words according to radicals, Guessing the meaning of written words. The quickness and talent of the teams brought thrilling and breathtaking competitions, receiving enthusiastic cheers from the audience.
The teams affirmed their talent and courage through each competition.
In the end, the first prize was awarded to the Sun team (太阳队) from class TT 16.05; the Glorious King team from class TT 16.03 and the MTT team from class TT 16.05 won the second prize; the two third prizes went to the O hay team from class TT 16.04 and the Joy is above all team from class TT 16.03.
Sharing after the program, the Champion team said: The whole team came to the competition with a high spirit of determination. The team's slogan is: "Waving the flag is victory, Perfect in both literature and martial arts, Peerless in the world".
The three girls of the Sun team won the championship of this year's competition.
Colorful emotions after the contest
A member of the Champion team – student Bui Ngoc Loan, class TT 16.05 expressed: “This award is an affirmation of the efforts and dedication of the whole team. Through the competition, I have gained valuable skills and experience with 02 great teammates. This is a source of motivation for me to continue to strive and practice, contributing to the inheritance and development of Chinese character culture”.
Cao Nguyen Yen Ly - student of class TT 16.04 shared: "After the contest, I have accumulated more vocabulary, interacted and connected with lovely friends; learned communication skills, teamwork. This will be our luggage on the path of studying and working in the future."
Vu Hong Duyen - student of class TT 16.04 said: "The contest helped me step out of my comfort zone to be ready to compete and express myself. Although I did not win any prizes, the contest brought me beautiful memories. Thank you to the Department of Chinese Language and Culture for creating a useful and interesting playground for us to exchange and learn from each other."
