More than 763,000 candidates will take both graduation and university entrance exams in 2021

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has just announced the final statistics on the number of candidates taking the high school graduation exam and university and college entrance exam in 2021.

74.71% of candidates apply for both graduation and university

Accordingly, in 2021, the whole country has more than 1 million candidates registering for the high school graduation exam, of which more than 40,500 are independent candidates, accounting for 3.97%.

The number of candidates who both graduate and enroll is more than 763,000 - accounting for 74.71%. The number of candidates who take the high school graduation exam for the purpose of only graduating is more than 222,500 - accounting for 21.79%. The number of candidates who only enroll is nearly 36,000 - accounting for 3.5%.

According to the statistical results on the system, the total number of Natural Science exams is over 346,000 - accounting for 33.92%; the total number of Social Science exams is over 546,000 - accounting for 53.46%.

According to the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education and Training), statistics on the system show that as of 5:00 p.m. on May 16, there were over 35,700 candidates only applying for admission to universities and colleges of preschool education, accounting for 3.5%.

2021 Wish Rate

The total number of candidates registering for admission is 3.8 million. Of which, nearly 792,000 candidates registered for the first choice - accounting for 99.14% of the total number of candidates registering for admission. There are more than 690,000 candidates for the second choice - accounting for 87.19%.

The number of third wishes is nearly 580,000 - accounting for 73.23%. The number of fourth wishes is nearly 456,000 - accounting for 57.57%. The number of fifth wishes is over 350,000 - accounting for 44.22%. The number of remaining wishes is over 952,000 - accounting for 120.3%.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, to be considered for recognition of high school graduation, high school education candidates must take 04 (four) exams, including 03 (three) independent exams: Math, Literature, Foreign Language and 01 (one) combined exam chosen by the candidate;

Continuing Education candidates must take 03 (three) exams, including 02 (two) independent exams: Math, Literature and 01 (one) combined exam of the candidate's choice. Continuing Education candidates can register for an additional Foreign Language exam to get the admission results.

The Ministry of Education and Training requires that schools must not notify successful candidates in any form when the candidates have not graduated from high school; using multiple admission methods at the same time for a major or group of majors must determine and publicly announce the admission quota and score for each admission method according to the regulations of the admission regulations.

Admission methods to Dai Nam University in 2021

In the 2021-2022 school year, Dai Nam University enrolls full-time undergraduate students in 17 training majors in 04 majors, including: Health (Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing), Economics (Business Administration, Accounting, E-commerce, Finance - Banking, Economic Law, Tourism and Travel Services Management), Engineering (Information Technology, Automotive Engineering Technology), Social Sciences and Humanities (Multimedia Communications, Public Relations, English Language, Chinese Language, Korean Language, Japanese Language) according to two admission methods.

Method 1 : Use the results of 03 subjects from the high school graduation exam results according to the registered combination for admission consideration. The quality assurance threshold is publicly announced by the Admissions Council of Dai Nam University on the website and fanpage before July 30, 2021.

Note: For candidates who graduated from high school from 2020 or earlier, the high school graduation exam results will be used for admission consideration.

Method 2 : Use the results of 03 subjects from the 12th grade high school study results according to the registered combination for admission consideration. Quality assurance threshold:

For Medicine and Pharmacy, candidates must have a grade 12 academic record of Excellent and a total score of 3 subjects according to the admission combination of 24 points or higher.

For Nursing, candidates must have a grade 12 academic record of Good or higher and a total score of 03 subjects according to the admission combination of 19.5 points or higher.

For the remaining majors, the total score of 03 subjects according to the admission combination must be from 18 points or higher.

Note: Dai Nam University does not exempt students from the Foreign Language exam in any case.
