Multi-level marketing "traps" surround, students need to be alert to avoid "losing money and getting into debt"

Spending all your time studying is also good, studying and working part-time also brings good experiences. If you do not work part-time, students must determine to study hard; or if you do work part-time, you must choose suitable jobs and support your future career. Be especially careful and stay away from illegal multi-level marketing that is rampant and "surrounding" students, especially first-year students at universities in Hanoi. The following article will help students identify "fake" and "fraudulent" multi-level marketing. You need to read it to "avoid losing money" as well as find legitimate part-time jobs when entering an independent life away from home.
Illegal multi-level marketing surrounds students
As scheduled, every school year, when new students are still unfamiliar with their new life, multi-level marketing scams are more active than ever with the slogans: "Easy work, high salary, flexible hours", "The more people you invite, the bigger the commission",...
Besides the trick of luring students to participate in multi-level marketing (floating goods, unknown origin, poor quality...), calling on relatives and acquaintances to join the business to increase profits... currently, multi-level marketing has transformed into many guises:
- Open skill classes and startup support programs to become successful entrepreneurs;
- Recruiters then ask for a deposit to “hold” the job.
- Recruit people to review products, buy and resell goods on phone applications to receive commissions,...
- Financial investment, virtual currency according to multi-level model (buying and selling international securities, digital currency, binary options trading BO,...)
Students fall into traps because of sweet enticements like "easy work, high salary", "the more people you invite, the bigger the commission", "profit 10-80%/day"...
Even to increase the "prestige" for enticing and persuading students to participate in multi-level marketing and courses; the subjects also took pictures and names of previous students or teachers in the school to cut and paste, preach and claim that this sales system has the participation of previous students and teachers so students can "rest assured" to participate.
With the form of virtual currency multi-level marketing, the subjects continuously send images of "huge" profits from 10-80%/day; links to register for groups with thousands of members; commitment to have experts support every minute so that students trust, see the profit and rush into investing.
Money lost, debt carried, feelings also left
The “trick” of individuals and organizations when “luring chickens” is to allow students to use the product for free; provide financial support to “get acquainted” with the trading floor; give gifts, give courses… After a while, the subjects require participants to deposit money; continuously “pour money” in to buy goods, do tasks; contribute investment capital, buy stocks, virtual money…
Initially, students still have investment profits, receive product commissions and can withdraw money to the bank. But after a while, when students start inviting relatives and friends to join and "pour" a lot of money into buying goods, investing... then the trading floors report errors and cannot withdraw money, the "leaders", "experts" and disguised multi-level marketing companies immediately "evaporate",
The "bargains" drawn from multi-level marketing make many students suffer (Internet photo).
At this time, students were shocked to find that they had “poured” tens of millions, hundreds of millions into multi-level marketing. That money was borrowed from friends, relatives, even hot loans to “hold goods” and contribute capital for investment.
As a result, students have to shoulder a "huge" debt; many students even have to drop out of school and go to work to earn money to pay off the debt, losing their future; losing the love and trust of relatives and friends.
At the civic week at the beginning of each school year, the Board of Directors of Dai Nam University directly met, shared and warned students about disguised forms of multi-level marketing, gambling, drugs, pawning, betting, etc. Especially emphasizing: "When encountering any problems, you should contact your teachers and family to share and get advice; do not hide or "jump in after the fact", the consequences will be very dangerous".
New students of Dai Nam University are trained in life skills, security and safety at the Citizen Activity Week.
What should students do to avoid multi-level marketing "traps"?
Students need to pay attention to the following issues to avoid falling into the trap of fraudulent multi-level marketing:
- Learn about the unit, organization or company that the student intends to study or work for. Ask for opinions from people who have participated and research documents and information about the company.
- Stay away from companies that ask for a deposit to “hold” a job.
- Carefully research information about programs, courses, activities, and jobs advertised on social networks or through other unknown sources. If there is any form of multi-level marketing, students should stay away.
Learn carefully about the company, job position, and specific job.
- Avoid putting money into investment opportunities that are unclear or have no supporting documents.
- There is no such thing as a free lunch. So don't trust referrals that promise high income without spending too much effort, time or money.
- Focus on learning and self-development.
Students of Dai Nam University are taught and trained in Soft Skills from the first year with the Basic Soft Skills and Advanced Soft Skills training programs.

- Be extremely careful with money investment activities, virtual currency trading, services, real estate, educational services, e-commerce taking advantage of multi-level marketing models... that are popular on social networks today, because the risk of getting caught up in illegal multi-level marketing for these models is very high.
- Be vigilant against messages, calls... calling for investment, multi-level marketing business offers.
