Proud of the word "teacher"

"On every road of the green Fatherland, there are flowers that are always full of color and fragrance, there are songs that stir people's hearts. That song, that flower is as beautiful as you, the people's teacher..." . The passionate, warm, sweet, and pure melodies like a flowing stream have made anyone who hears them feel proud and choked up in their hearts.

For teachers working at Dai Nam University in general and the Faculty of Nursing in particular, we are very moved and proud when listening to this song. We are even more imbued with Uncle Ho's teachings: "Without teachers, there is no education. The mission of teachers is very important and very glorious" . Or as the late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong also said: "Teaching is the noblest of all noble professions, the most creative of all creative professions. Teachers not only teach words but also teach people, they are like pine trees on the mountainside, cinnamon trees in the deep forest silently spreading fragrance, dedicating their intelligence and strength to life" .

Teachers and students of the Nursing Faculty of Dai Nam University teach and study in practice rooms with standard equipment systems.

What is special for teachers of the Health Sector, including our Nursing Sector, is that November 20th is even more sacred, because we are not only teachers but also doctors, small people who always carry heavy missions on both our shoulders. As teachers, like many other teachers, we try to impart to students the knowledge, skills and correct attitudes towards work so that they can make a living from their profession after graduation, creatively applying the knowledge they have learned to take care of patients, save people and bring happiness to life. As doctors, every day, in addition to teaching hours in the lecture halls or practice rooms, we rush to the hospital, where patients are waiting for us, where nursing students are practicing there, looking forward to their teachers' guidance every day. We both carry the responsibility of "growing people" and the responsibility of "saving people".

Because we are aware of our great role and responsibility, we - the "two-in-one" teachers - must remind ourselves to always remember our responsibility on the 20/11 anniversary. Receiving fresh flowers and congratulations from students, colleagues, friends and even patients, we feel very lucky to have chosen this profession.

Continuously updating teaching methods to bring students the most practical and applicable learning experience is the responsibility of not only the health sector lecturers but also the entire teaching staff of Dai Nam University.

Suddenly we remembered the saying of the great Soviet pedagogue Makarenco: "Education is not a profession but a mission. It is to make the intelligence, soul and personality of people more and more perfect". This task is extremely important and difficult, requiring those working in education not only to have solid professional qualifications and dedication to the profession but also to have good personality and moral qualities, because " The exemplary role of a teacher is the most favorable ray of sunlight for the development of young souls that cannot be replaced by anything" and to know how to sacrifice as Uncle Ho once taught: "A good teacher is the most glorious person. Even though their names are not published in newspapers, and they are not awarded medals, good teachers are unsung heroes" . A teacher deserves to be an unsung hero. The essence of the two words "Teacher" is already a title. But perhaps, the title of teacher is the most noble when it remains forever in the hearts of students, in the hearts of the people, so that no matter where they go, what they do, every year on November 20, former students come to their teachers to express their deep gratitude. That is the greatest happiness of a teacher.

Nursing faculty is determined to "explode" and "breakthrough" in the coming time.

On the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, all lecturers of the Faculty of Nursing, Dai Nam University, wish teachers across the country in general and teachers in the field of health - medicine in particular always good health, more dedication and contribution to the cause of education of the country, to the work of caring for and protecting people's health.
