Although only 2/3 of the way through, the Leadership Transformation Training Course under the Dai Nam University Culture Development Project has reached its goal. 100% of key leaders participating in the training course have been transformed and innovated in their thinking and actions in work and life situations towards the breakthrough goal, becoming a core team with the University to spread core cultural values.

Happy school - straight to work

Ms. Le Thi Thanh Huong - Vice Principal shared: "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. To go fast and far, the human resource links must understand and be imbued with the culture of the organization. This is the reason why Dai Nam University is determined to deepen and spread the cultural identity to each employee in order to create a safe and happy working environment for all staff, lecturers and employees. At the same time, it is the foundation for the University to continue to improve the quality of services for students. The key leadership team is the core force that helps the University position and spread core cultural values towards the goal of breakthrough and sustainable development. To do that, leaders must transform, set an example and lead...."

Creating a safe and happy working environment for each staff member, lecturer and employee is the goal of Dai Nam University.

Leaders must be the first to be transformed.

Mr. Do Anh Tai - Vice Principal expressed: "To promote the cultural values of the organization, the school's leaders and key leaders must be the first to be "transformed", comprehensively and substantially. The leadership transformation training course has practical significance, helping to build office culture, transform thinking and actions in a positive direction. Collective strength is also enhanced. Everyone loves their agency and unit more and together strives to achieve the set strategic goals. In particular, in this course, we can debate openly, without distance, thereby gradually removing the gap between leaders and employees".

“The culture of the unit will help encourage the hidden values inside, help us work together in a civilized and appropriate manner; aiming to exploit the strengths of each individual”.

Impressed with the enthusiasm and passion of the school leader

Mr. Duong Minh Tu - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Business Administration said: “What impressed me most about the leadership transformation training course was the enthusiasm, passion, and dedication of the head of the School. Second, the lecturers in the class organized very close and practical activities. Third, the spirit of learning and sharing sincerely, "without reservation" of the teachers participating in the class. That is also a strong affirmation of the enthusiasm and solidarity of Dai Nam people. The content of the course urged me to look back at myself, determine my position in the organization and act more decisively to do better in the assigned tasks, towards the desire: The scale and number of students increase many times over the current level; the quality of the Faculty of Business Administration is recognized by society and becomes a "formidable" competitor of the top schools in Vietnam in Business Administration training".

Courageously face your own limitations to change and grow

Ms. Do Thu Huong - Head of Training Management Department shared: “I am a perfectionist, always demanding the highest level of work. Therefore, I also require specialists to be like me and “nagging persistently” if they cannot meet the requirements. As a result, I put pressure on each other. Participating in the training course, I realized my limitations, bravely faced them and changed to develop. I started to “get down on the field”, put myself in the shoes of others to evaluate the situation, assign tasks and commit to accompany, and implement fair rewards and punishments. I also lowered my ego to listen and share with colleagues; actively recognized the efforts of specialists through words and actions... The work was therefore more effective, everyone was happier, more open and more connected”.

Ms. Do Thu Huong has "become less difficult" and successfully transformed after participating in the training course.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngan - Head of Testing Department confided: "The leadership transformation training course has helped us see the strengths and weaknesses that still exist in work and in each individual. I learned how to control myself, transmit energy and motivation to those around me; no longer shy but ready to change to suit the organization and society."

The course was full of positive energy.

Ms. Le Thi Mai Phuong - Head of the Legal Inspection Department shared: “I believe that the training course has opened up opportunities for each person to look back at themselves. From there, put aside personal ego to put themselves in the position of others, for the common good. This is also an opportunity for everyone to express gratitude, appreciation, and recognition to colleagues; to be more aware of their responsibility to the organization, unit they are in charge of and most of all to the students”.

Understand the "dark corners" of each other's work

Mr. Tran Hai Duong - Head of the Korean Language and Culture Department shared: “Participating in the training course, we are no longer leaders but "play the role" of students, so we are very comfortable sharing. We understand many "hidden corners" of each other in work and life; realize that each person has extremely lovable unique traits. And when placed together, those personalities become an extremely strong collective. I also apply the concept of "desired future" to building the development strategy of the Faculty in the coming time; the concept of "listening is always the default" in dealing with staff and lecturers, turning down the "small voice" of myself to sympathize and understand everyone".

Mr. Le Quang Dung - Head of the English Language Department said: “I have never participated in a special training course like this. It helps the leadership team at the Faculty and Department levels to review the management of their organization with a multi-dimensional perspective, from many different frames of reference. This significantly reduces unnecessary problems in the work. More than that, the Professional and Service blocks have shared frankly with each other, something we rarely have the opportunity to express. I myself have also changed a lot in my thinking and actions, restraining my instinctive emotions to avoid hurting my colleagues unnecessarily.”

Start – Stop – Continue is thoroughly applied in work.

Mr. Tran Dang Cong - Head of Information Technology Department said: “I thoroughly apply the lesson of Start - Stop - Continue to my work. Start by listening and understanding. Stop personal feelings, stop some issues that have not reached a consensus. Continue to combine practical contributions from members and sketch an overall picture. Thanks to that, the work of the unit as well as myself is operated better, and tasks that are overdue are also completed.”

Radiant when work goes smoothly, deadlines are met.

Know how to set breakthrough goals - a desirable future to bring the unit on par with the top training addresses in Vietnam

Ms. Nguyen Thi Vinh Hue - Head of the Faculty of Pharmacy shared: “The training course gave me the motivation to set out a future of aspiring to develop the Faculty of Pharmacy to be on par with top training institutions. And to do that, we have built a plan to develop a team of both talented and professional lecturers; strongly connect with businesses to expand students' experience and internship opportunities; actively participate in scientific research activities to shine with awards; promote cooperation to develop businesses, create opportunities for students to receive exchange scholarships and study abroad... With the support and companionship of the School, I believe that the aspirational future of the Faculty will come true".

Newcomers understand more about DNU culture to accompany and stay long-term

Ms. Nguyen Thanh Huyen - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Commerce and Digital Economy expressed: “This is the first time I have participated in such a vibrant and interesting training course. Although they are “high-ranking” people, everyone is very open, comfortable and sincere. This helps newcomers like me quickly integrate into the environment, connect with colleagues, and better understand Dai Nam culture; especially the culture of communication, behavior and criticism. I also realized many problems in thinking and action; from there, I have made appropriate adjustments in management and training work; bringing the Faculty of E-Commerce and Digital Economy to develop strongly with the School and society”.

Newcomers are open-minded and quickly integrate into the environment, culture and people of Dai Nam.

Happy to absorb “brain nutrition”

Ms. Thai Thu Phuong - Head of Administration and Management Department was moved: “The training course brought me many emotions, from smiles to tears. We had the opportunity to resolve unnecessary conflicts in the past; to listen to each other's secret sharing; to understand each other to respect and appreciate each other more. Normally, I am very nervous when speaking in front of a crowd, sometimes I even lose my voice, but I don't know why when I participated in the training course, I was so excited that I "increased my enthusiasm", laughing and talking throughout the session. I am grateful to the school's Board of Directors for allowing us to attend such a practical and useful course."

From the bright smile…

To tears of emotion before the sincere sharing and expression of colleagues.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - Head of Soft Skills Training and Development Department excitedly said: "Going to school on the weekend is as fresh as flowers, full of "classmates" who are strong, critical and determined to the end. The leadership transformation training content of Dai Nam University is extremely practical, useful, exceeding my expectations and expectations. Regularly providing the brain with nutrients to continue to produce more knowledge and spread it is necessary for every DNUER".

Happy to get “brain nutrition” every week.

The profound sharing and positive "transformation" of the key leadership team are a great source of motivation for Dai Nam University to develop and expand transformation training courses for nearly 1,000 cadres, lecturers and employees in the coming time.
