With the motto "If teachers are happy, students will be happy and the school will be happy", Dai Nam University pays special attention to taking care of the material and spiritual life of all staff, lecturers and employees; creating a dynamic - united - understanding and happy working environment. To further promote that motto, Dai Nam University opens Yoga and Dance classes for staff and lecturers to help teachers become healthier and happier every day.

Yoga and Dance are two sports in the distinct physical training program of Dai Nam University; taught directly by a team of lecturers who are PhDs in yoga, professional athletes, and have participated in provincial and national tournaments. These sports not only receive enthusiastic responses from students but also all staff, lecturers, and employees are eager to practice.

Knowing the teachers' wishes, the 'House' has available facilities and a team of excellent lecturers, the School's Board of Directors immediately directed the opening of Yoga and Dance classes for all staff, lecturers and employees.

The Yoga class is taught by Mr. Nguyen Duc Dung - Head of Yoga Department, Director of Vietnam Yoga Therapy Academy, Vice President of Hanoi Yoga Federation; former National Yoga referee (2019). The Dance class is taught by Ms. Ta Hong Van - Head of Dance Department of Dai Nam University, with nearly 10 years of teaching experience, Founder of Happy Face Dance, Coach at several famous gyms in Hanoi.

After stressful working hours, Yoga and Dance are valuable relaxation times for DNU teachers.

Mr. Dinh Quang Hung - Vice Principal, Chairman of the School Union said: "For a school to be happy, first of all, the teachers must be happy. And to be happy, they must be healthy. Therefore, the school always supports and creates all conditions for teachers to participate in physical training and sports to improve their physical strength. Through Yoga and Dance classes, the school also wants to create a space for members to interact, connect and further strengthen solidarity in the whole school."

The training time is carefully “measured” by the Union to optimize the participation of everyone. Specifically, the Yoga class is scheduled on Monday and Wednesday; the Dance class is on Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. This is the ideal time frame for teachers to relax after stressful working hours. Within 1 hour, teachers not only improve their physical fitness and health but also “throw away” the fear of traffic jams during rush hour.

Exercising eliminates all age and generation gaps...

Dance class always brings a lot of positive energy.

During the training, teachers were enthusiastically guided and corrected by the trainer. Everyone felt happy, joyful and excited to practice. After the first week of training, many teachers decided to register for both Yoga and Dance.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Dung corrects the teachers' movements.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - Head of the Department of Training and Soft Skills Development shared: “Working at DNU, eating and sleeping at DNU, living a virtual life at DNU, now practicing Yoga and Dance at DNU is also taken care of. It is true that my whole life revolves around Dai Nam University. I love and cherish this working environment so much”.

Strive to have a healthy body, a refreshing spirit, and enthusiasm for work.

Ms. Vu Thanh Hoa - Nursing Faculty's Academic Affairs Officer expressed: "I am happy to work in a dynamic, youthful environment that always puts the interests and health of workers first. This training activity also helps teachers understand and get closer to each other. There are people I think are difficult to approach, but when practicing with them, I see that the teachers are very young, funny, and approachable."

Happy smile.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien - Human Resources Department said: "The nature of my job requires me to sit and work for long periods of time, using the computer continuously, so sometimes I feel quite tired and want to free my body. Fortunately, the school understands that desire and opens Yoga and Dance classes for staff, lecturers and employees to practice together."

Teachers practice hard without missing any class.

Caring for the material and spiritual life of teachers so that they are always young, healthy, active and enthusiastic in their work is the goal that Dai Nam University always strives for. In the future, the school will further promote sports activities for teachers to participate in training. At the same time, the school also hopes that Yoga and Dance courses will be the premise for establishing teacher sports clubs, both creating an environment for everyone to exchange and a useful playground for members of Dai Nam University.
