Why does Dai Nam University strive to improve students' physical fitness?

“The habit of being lazy to exercise, unscientific lifestyle and external influences such as environmental pollution and epidemics are directly affecting the health and comprehensive development of human resources in the future. Therefore, in addition to knowledge and ethics, Dai Nam University pays special attention to physical training, improving health and creating lifelong health training habits for students. The school's policy is not to force students to practice according to a pattern but to freely choose sports according to their interests, abilities and physical condition. That is also a new feature in the unique physical training program only available at DNU…”. That is the sharing of Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Dai Nam University.
Over height, weight but lack of physical strength
Economic development, material life is improved. That is also the reason why the current generation of young Vietnamese people has significantly improved height and weight. However, in recent years, experts have warned that the situation of rejuvenating diseases in patients from 18 years old in Vietnam is at an alarming level.
The root cause of this condition is the unhealthy lifestyle of young people: sleeping during the day and working at night; overeating, abusing fast food and canned food leading to a lack of essential micronutrients for the body but an excess of sugar and fat accumulation causing the body to become unbalanced and potentially susceptible to many diseases.
Good health will help students have a comfortable spirit to study, create and have fun.
The "temptation" of electronic devices, online games, social networks, and online entertainment platforms is making young people lazy, passive, losing the need for social interaction, participating in extracurricular activities, especially physical activities.
According to research by the Department of Preventive Medicine, Ministry of Health, up to 30% of adults lack physical activity. Lack of exercise is the cause of some common diseases such as: Stress, neck and shoulder pain, bone and joint pain, nervous tension...
In addition, environmental pollution and diseases are also factors that affect human health. If people do not exercise regularly, the rate of illness among young Vietnamese people will continue to increase.
