Why does the Startup Competition "Social Innovation Launch 2023" - A social innovation idea launch pad attract students nationwide to participate?

The “Social Innovation Launch 2023” competition is organized by Dai Nam University in collaboration with JCI Thang Long and Youth Plus. This is a useful academic playground for talented young people who love creative startups; an opportunity for Gen Z to connect with experts, businesses and realize startup projects. Currently, nearly 200 candidates from 28 high schools and universities across the country have registered to participate. This number shows no signs of stopping.

The Social Entrepreneurship Competition (SiL) is for students aged 18-25; studying at high schools, colleges, and universities nationwide. With this playground, young people have the opportunity to break through themselves, realize their business aspirations, and bring sustainable development to society.

The theme of this year’s competition is “Starting a business”. Accordingly, participants do not necessarily need to have an idea right away. Because SiL will incubate the creation of each individual participant according to the problem list and SiL training rounds. Accompanying and supporting students are leading experts in the field of economics and business.

Ms. Pham Thi Dung - Deputy Director of the Center for "Student Employment and Entrepreneurship" of Dai Nam University shared: "Not just stopping at a competition, Social Innovation Launch is committed to accompanying, training and supporting the development of sustainable startup projects, creating positive impacts for society".

With great “support” from the Organizing Committee and the commitment to “sponsor” from businesses, as soon as the application opened, nearly 200 candidates from 28 high schools and universities nationwide registered, such as: Foreign Trade University, National Economics University, University of Science and Technology, Hanoi Medical University, FPT University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, Danang University, etc.

In particular, Dai Nam University students registered to participate in the competition up to 38%. This shows that Dai Nam University students are very ambitious, aspirational and responsible for the community and is a testament to the strategic training orientation of the University which is application - entrepreneurship and innovation.

After the application round, students will enter the training round to understand themselves and their teammates through bootcamp, project registration and team building. The topics that most candidates are interested in and choose this year are E-commerce, Healthcare, Digital Transformation, Sustainable Tourism, Agriculture, etc.

The contest will certainly bring useful and practical lessons, fostering and kindling the spirit of aspiration to dare to try, dare to do and dare to commit in young people; creating a trustworthy environment, accompanying young people so that they can start a business more easily.
