2016 National High School Exam scores will be available on the system on July 20

The Ministry of Education and Training has directed the Examination Councils to update the exam results data into the National High School Exam Management Software System no later than July 20, 2016.
After the National High School Exam took place over 4 days from July 1-4, the Ministry of Education and Training issued an official dispatch requesting the Chairmen of the Examination Councils to continue to direct, organize the marking and announce the exam results in accordance with regulations, ensuring the prescribed time, especially ensuring objectivity, accuracy and fairness between the Examination Councils, in which paying attention to the regulations on marking and announcing exam results.
Regarding the marking work, the Ministry of Education and Training requires the Chairmen of the Examination Councils to directly direct the marking of the test papers and ensure the safety and confidentiality of the test papers; Organize research and discuss thoroughly the answers, marking instructions, and score sheets; strictly implement the general marking regulations to ensure consistency in marking; Marking is carried out according to the two-round independent marking process and in two separate marking rooms; Strictly implement the regulations on scoring and assigning scores; Conduct check marking of at least 5% of the number of test papers of each subject, following the same marking progress of the Examination Board.
Accordingly, the Examination Councils must complete marking and scoring before July 20, 2016.
Regarding the announcement of exam results, the Ministry of Education and Training requested that the Examination Councils prepare well the information technology infrastructure, especially the server system and transmission lines; work with telecommunications service providers, prioritize transmission lines for the announcement of exam results, and ensure that there is no network congestion when announcing exam results.
The Examination Councils shall update the examination results data into the National High School Examination Management Software System no later than July 20, 2016. The Examination Councils shall announce the results after completing the comparison between the examination results stored at the Examination Councils and the examination results updated into the National High School Examination Management System.
Timeline candidates need to remember when registering for university admission in 2016:
- No later than July 27: High school principals will issue temporary graduation certificates, return transcripts and certificates (originals) to candidates.
- No later than July 30: Send exam result certificates and receive candidates' appeal applications.
- Before August 8: Examination councils must organize exam review and complete graduation recognition after review.
- From August 1-12, 2016: Universities and colleges begin accepting applications for the first round of admission. Candidates can only apply to a maximum of 2 schools, with no more than 2 majors per school. Candidates cannot change their application for the school or major they have applied for during the admission round.
- Before August 25: Announce the admission scores for the first choice.
- From August 25 to September 15: Consider additional admissions for the first round. Announce admission scores for additional admissions for the first round before September 20.
- From September 20 to October 5: Consider additional admission requests for the second round. Announce results before October 10.
- From October 10 to October 25: Consider additional admission requests for the third round. Announce results before October 31. Additional admission requests for the fourth round end before November 20.
