This year is the first year that the Ministry of Education and Training does not determine the minimum score for college admission.
After this admission threshold is available, universities will receive applications from candidates. Based on the quota, number of registered candidates and admission threshold, the schools will determine the standard score.
This university admission threshold is determined based on the score distribution of candidates, the enrollment quota of schools, regional characteristics, and ensuring a surplus coefficient so that schools can recruit enough candidates.
Sharing with candidates applying for university admission this year, according to Deputy Minister of Education and Training Bui Van Ga, after knowing the exam results, candidates have about 10 days to research and choose the major/school to register for admission that is suitable with their results. Candidates who take many subjects will be more likely to choose the subject combination with the highest result to register for admission. Information about the standard scores for majors/schools in 2015 is very useful for students to refer to.
Deputy Minister Ga said that this year's admission regulations create maximum conditions for candidates to choose their favorite career rather than choosing a place in any university. Students should register for admission to their favorite major at schools with different admission scores to increase their chances of being admitted each time.
