50% of national high school exam invigilators are university and college lecturers

Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Vinh Hien said that for university exam clusters, the Principal of the university presiding over the university exam cluster establishes an Examination Council to organize the exam. The local Department of Education and Training and the university and college are assigned the task of coordinating the organization of the exam cluster to implement the provisions of the Examination Regulations.

Based on the number of candidates registering for the exam at the examination cluster and actual conditions, the University Principal decides on the number of exam scores and the number of members of the Examination Council, ensuring that the number of officers and lecturers of the university hosting the examination cluster doing the exam invigilation work accounts for at least 50%, the number of officers and lecturers of the university and college coordinating the organization accounts for at least 20% of the number of exam invigilators at each examination site of the Examination Council; the exam markers are high school teachers and university and college lecturers.

For graduation exam clusters, the Director of the Department of Education and Training presides over the exam cluster to establish an Examination Council to organize the exam, decide on the number of exam scores and the number of members of the Examination Council; universities and colleges coordinate to send staff to participate in the stages of exam organization; ensure that the number of university and college staff and lecturers working in exam supervision accounts for at least 50% of the number of exam supervisors at each exam location of the Examination Council.

According to Deputy Minister Hien, before each exam session, the Head of the Examination Site organizes for the invigilators and exam room supervisors to draw lots to assign invigilators and exam room supervisors.

Note that for graduation exam clusters, each exam room must have 1 exam supervisor who is from the coordinating university or college; for university exam clusters, each exam room must have 1 exam supervisor who is from the unit hosting the exam cluster.
