The Ministry of Education and Training has just released instructions on the steps for online university admission registration in 2016. Accordingly, there are 8 steps for online admission registration.

Here are 8 steps for candidates to register for online admission.

The first round of online registration is from August 1 to August 11.

Steps to register for admission online:

Step 1: Login

Candidates use the assigned account (after registration) to log into the system as follows:

- Visit the Ministry's website: http://thisinh.thithptquocgia.edu.vn.

- Enter your ID number, login code, confirmation code and click the "Login" button.

Step 2: Select the function "Register for admission"

To register for admission online, candidates select the menu "Register for admission"

Step 3: Register

After selecting “Register for admission”, the screen displays some personal information of the candidate and information about the current admission period.

Candidates click the “Register” button on the screen to begin the enrollment registration process.

In the first round of admission:

- If registering for only one group of schools, candidates will be able to register for a maximum of 4 member schools, each member school with no more than 2 majors and the total number of majors with no more than 4.

- If the candidate has registered for an outside school

Group, candidates can only register for 1 more school (in the group or outside the group), each school no more than 2 majors.

During the additional recruitment period:

- If registering for only one group of schools, candidates will be able to register for a maximum of 6 member schools, each member school with no more than 2 majors and the total number of majors no more than 6.

- If the candidate has registered for a school outside the group, the candidate can register for a maximum of 2 more schools (in the group or outside the group) and each school cannot have more than 2 majors.

Step 4: Select school

- After finding the school to register, candidates select that school and click the "Next" button to move to the next step. - On the "Select school" screen, candidates search for the school they want to register for.

Step 5: Choose a major

- After choosing a school, candidates choose the majors they want to register for.

- If in step 4 the candidate chooses a school group, then in step 5, a maximum of 4 wishes will be displayed for the candidate to choose from (image below). Each member school, the candidate cannot register for more than 2 majors.

- If in step 4 the candidate chooses a school outside the group, in step 5 a maximum of 2 options will be displayed for the candidate to choose from (image above).

Step 6: Confirm

- After selecting the desired option, candidates use the phone number filled in the National High School Exam Registration Form to send a text message with the syntax THIQG to 8062.

- Candidates enter the verification code returned by the system into the box below and click the "Next" button to move to the next step.

- The system will check the candidate's phone number and the phone number to send the OTP code. If they are the same candidate, then they are valid and will return the OTP code. If they are different, the system will notify an error and ask the candidate to check their information again. Note:

- Each OTP code is only valid for 30 minutes from the time of receipt.

Step 7: Finish

After completing the registration, the screen will display the candidate's registered wishes. To access the Registered Wishes List screen, candidates click on the "Return to Registration Form List Page" button.

Step 8: View the list of wishes

The admission registration screen displays a list of candidates' registered wishes and information about their registration status. If the registration status is "successful registration", the candidate's registration has been entered into the data system.

Note:

- To ensure the rights and reduce risks for candidates, online registration will end 1 day earlier than other admission registration methods. If after the end of online registration, any candidate has not registered, they need to register by post (the deadline will be calculated according to the postmark) or directly at the school (if the school uses this method of receiving admission registration);

- According to regulations, in the first round, candidates are only allowed to register for a maximum of 2 schools, and in the additional rounds, candidates are allowed to register for a maximum of 3 schools. Candidates must strictly comply with this regulation. If they apply to more than 2 (or 3 schools in the additional round), the system will only accept any 2 (or 3) schools from the schools the candidates register for, thus the candidates will lose the right to choose their own schools. Furthermore, they may have to pay a fee and cannot register online (because the system checks that the number of registered schools has exceeded the prescribed limit);

- In addition to the main steps listed above, after each step where the candidate may make an error, the system will give warnings. Candidates need to read these warnings carefully and only when they are satisfied with their choice can they confirm to perform the next step;

- Regarding receiving OTP code: The number 8062 does not support Gmobile and Vietnammobile phone numbers. Candidates need to update the number of 1 of 3 networks: Viettel, Vina, Mobile or call the switchboard 1900 8198 according to the phone number registered with the reception point to receive the confirmation code.

- After successfully registering, candidates should print out the registration results for comparison when needed.

- Because the system does not support online admission fee payment, when registering online, candidates must pay the fee according to the school's regulations.

The registration period has not yet come, so candidates are not allowed to register on this page. The first round of online registration is from August 1 to August 11.
