On the afternoon of March 28, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the overall enrollment of 440 universities and colleges nationwide in 2016. This is important information for candidates to consider when choosing the right school.
The principles of university and college admission in 2016 are as follows:
First round of admission: Each candidate can register for a maximum of 2 schools, each school candidate can register for a maximum of 2 majors ranked in order of priority from 1 to 2; Candidates cannot change their preferences during the admission round.
Additional admission rounds: Each round, candidates can register for a maximum of 3 schools and in each school, they can register for a maximum of 2 majors in order of priority from 1 to 2; Candidates cannot change their wishes in each round of admission.
Applying for admission to schools that enroll students in groups (collectively called school groups): Candidates can use the maximum number of majors allowed for each admission round (4 majors in round I and 6 majors in additional admission rounds) to apply for admission to many schools in the group and arrange the registered majors in order of priority. (For example, in round I, candidates can apply for admission to 4 different schools in the group if each school applies for 1 major or apply for admission to 3 different schools in the group if applying for 2 majors at 1 school and the remaining 2 majors apply to 2 schools).
Candidates who have registered for admission to 2 or more schools in the group in round I or 3 or more schools in the group in the additional round are not allowed to register for admission to schools outside the group.
