- From 40 - 120 trillion VND: Hai Phong.

2. Coastal economic zones of the Central key economic region: Hue, Da Nang, Tam Ky, Quang Ngai, Quy Nhon.

Question 3 (3.0 points)

Question 4 (3.0 points)

1. Strengths in local raw material resources of our country's food processing industry:

Abundant raw materials: from cultivation, livestock farming, fishing and aquaculture.

- Cultivation serves a variety of industries such as: milling; sugar cane; tea, coffee, tobacco processing; alcohol, beer, soft drink industry; canned products... All of these industries have a rapid increase in production speed, initially meeting the demand and supplying goods for export. Distributed near areas with abundant raw materials such as the Mekong Delta, South Central Coast, Red River Delta.

Can cite evidence:

· Cultivated area increased sharply from 1980 (5.6 million hectares) to 2002 (7.5 million hectares), and decreased slightly in 2005 (7.3 million hectares). Crop structure has changed a lot.

· The country has a total vegetable growing area of about 500 thousand hectares, most concentrated in the Red River Delta, the Mekong River Delta and the green belts on the outskirts of major cities.

- Processing of livestock products in general and livestock farming for meat, milk and eggs in particular is still in a secondary position compared to the crop growing industry.

- Aquatic and seafood processing: With diverse water surface areas in ponds, lakes, rivers and streams plus a large sea area. Main occupations such as: making fish sauce; processing frozen shrimp... these are industries with quite fast growth rates, besides having a large market, supplying for export.

*Some products in this industry have become our country's main export items, because:

· Our country has favorable natural conditions for the food production industry: There are fertile plains, high temperatures, lots of rain, abundant water resources...

· Abundant raw materials, large production volume. Besides meeting people's needs, this is a source of raw materials for export.

· The labor force is large, cheap and experienced in production.

· Supported by state policy.

2. The Mekong Delta has many strengths and limitations in land resources for agricultural development.

Strengths: There are 3 main groups with large areas:

· Sweet alluvial soil: Covering an area of 1.2 million hectares, accounting for more than 30% of the natural area of the delta, distributed in a strip along the Tien and Hau rivers. This is a favorable condition for growing rice and other short-term crops.

· Acid sulfate soil: With the largest area, more than 1.6 million hectares (accounting for 41% of the delta area), including high acid sulfate soil, low and medium acid sulfate soil. Distributed in Dong Thap Muoi, Long Xuyen Quadrangle and the central lowland of Ca Mau peninsula. Salty soil with nearly 750,000 hectares accounts for 19% of the delta area, distributed in the coastal belt of the East Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. This is where industrial crops are grown and distributed, protective forests and acid sulfate soil and saltwater ecosystems are developed.

Limit:

· Most of the land area is contaminated with alum, salt, some types of soil lack nutrients, the soil is too compact, difficult to drain... On these types of soil, agricultural development brings low productivity and quality.

Recently, saltwater intrusion here has been very serious because:

· Low elevation of plain terrain compared to sea level

· Regularly affected by high tides

· Long dry season is a condition for saltwater intrusion

· Affected by the flow of the Mekong River system

· The impact of economic activities

· The impact of countries in the Mekong sub-region
