According to official data from the Department of Education and Training as of May 2015, the whole province had 13,880 candidates taking the National High School Graduation Exam (including independent candidates).
Of these, nearly 8,000 candidates have two wishes : high school graduation and university admission. These candidates will take the exam at the Hanoi exam cluster organized by the Ministry of Education and Training and related universities; 5,973 candidates only have the wish to take the high school graduation exam and will take the exam in Bac Ninh, organized by the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Education and Training.
The whole province established an examination council divided into 17 examination sites with 252 examination rooms and 630 invigilators in 8 districts, towns and cities (each locality, depending on actual conditions, established from 1 to 3 examination sites, creating conditions so that candidates do not have to travel far to take the exam).
In 2015, the Ministry of Education and Training assigned Quang Ninh University of Industry to coordinate with the Department of Education and Training to participate in exam supervision in Bac Ninh.
In the national high school exam for candidates who only wish to graduate, high school candidates take 4 subjects, including 3 compulsory subjects (Math, Literature, Foreign Language), 1 elective subject out of 5 subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography); GDTX candidates take 2 compulsory subjects (Math, Literature), 2 elective subjects out of 5 subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography). The results of this exam will be announced before July 25, 2015.
