Dai Nam Homecoming Day: November 20th, featuring a special reunion of teachers and generations of DNU alumni.

Every year, in November, generations of alumni enthusiastically return to celebrate Dai Nam University (DNU) on turning a new age and to express gratitude to teachers on the occasion of Vietnam Teacher's Day, November 20th. This year, that return holds special significance as former students collaborate with the Career and Entrepreneurship Center to introduce a network of alumni and students from Dai Nam University.

The program "Gratitude Meeting To Teachers and Launching the Network of Alumni and Students of Dai Nam University'' was attended by: Mr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of Council University, Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Chairman of the University Council; Governing Board; Leaders, Staff, and Lecturers from Offices, Departments, Faculties, and Centers. Particularly noteworthy was the gathering of nearly 100 alumni representing courses from 1 to 12.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Le Dac Son couldn't hide his emotions upon reuniting with generations of former students, now becoming successful individuals from Dai Nam University. Now, all of them have established careers and fulfilling lives, aligning perfectly with the school's mission: “Training graduates to lead fulfilling lives and become upstanding citizens”.

“As educators, our greatest joy stems from witnessing the ongoing success of our students and their significant contributions to the community and society. Over the past 16 years, I've always kept an eye on and followed each of your steps; I hope you depart only to return one day soon, bringing back the knowledge collected from all corners of the globe to build and develop our university, assisting the next generations of students…”

Professor Le Dac Son was deeply moved to meet the first batch of students who were closely bonded with the University during its most challenging and difficult times. Now, all of them have achieved success, lead fulfilling lives, and have become good citizens.

Professor Le Dac Son mentioned: 'Over the past 16 years, through determination and unity among the Council University, School Board, Staff, Lecturers, and Generations of students, Dai Nam University has overcome numerous difficulties and challenges. However, the greatest challenge that the university has always struggled with and strived to overcome is: 'How to build and develop in a way that every generation of students can take pride in the University they attended.”

“The inability to provide a good foundation for the first batches of students to study was the most heartbreaking thing for me. And for that reason,we have relentlessly strived, putting all our effort, mind, and resources into developing Dai Nam University, making it stronger so that each generation of students can have a big and proud learning environment to thrive and always cherish the place where they studied and experienced," the Professor confided

Professor. Le Dac Son affirmed that the development and growth of Dai Nam University cannot be without the companionship and cooperation of alumni and students.

By the year 2030, Dai Nam University aims to become a leading and reliable educational institution among universities in Vietnam. To achieve this aspiration, the partnership and support of the alumni community of Dai Nam University are indispensable.

Professor Le Dac Son hopes that alumni will frequently contribute ideas and proposals to aid the University's further development in terms of scale. This includes continuing to choose Dai Nam University for higher education, supporting and facilitating practical training, internships, and job placements for subsequent generations of students. Additionally, expanding the network of Dai Nam University students and alumni nationwide to become a strong, vocal force in society.

“How to make generations of students feel their responsibility to the nation and people; Wholeheartedly dedicating themselves to building and contributing, aiming to elevate the country to stand shoulder to shoulder with larger nations across the globe. We are committed to doing everything possible to collaborate for mutual development alongside the University. Our goal is to propel the Dai Nam University brand and its students onto the international stage," emphasized Professor Le Dac Son.

Representatives of the alumni presented the University with a bouquet of fresh flowers arranged in a heart-shaped design, affirming a strong and enduring love for Dai Nam University.

This small gift serves as a token of gratitude from generations of alumni to the University's leadership, faculty, and staff.

DNU alumni and student network liaison committee officially launched.

Ms. Pham Thi Dung - Deputy Director of the "Career and Entrepreneurship Center," mentioned: The DNU Alumni network has been established with the principles and objectives of "Connecting - Accompanying - Responsibility - Success".

Accordingly, DNU Alumni focuses on the following activities:

First, gathering and connecting generations of alumni who have studied and researched at Dai Nam University.

Secondly, creating unity, fostering bonds, and mutual support, and acting as a bridge between generations of students, and learners in various activities: studying, practical application, internships, recruitment, training, seminars, forums... and events at Dai Nam University.

Third, maintaining and promoting the noble traditions, propagating the values ​​of generations of students from Dai Nam University as "dynamic in career establishment and community responsibility."

Fourth, mobilizing resources from alumni to contribute to improving the quality of education and developing the University

Professor Le Dac Son and Ms. Cao Thi Hoa issued the decision and membership cards to the DNU Alumni Liaison Board 2023.

Mr. Pham Van Hong - Rector and Ms. Le Thi Thanh Huong - Vice Rector issued the decision and membership cards to the DNU Alumni Liaison Board 2023.

At the event, the Executive Committee of the Dai Nam University Alumni Network for the academic year 2023 - 2024 was officially launched with 26 members. Mr. Le Hong Phu from the fifth cohort in the transition Pharmacy course was appointed as the President. 

“On behalf of the Executive Board, I promise to dedicate all my spirit, responsibility, and effort to manage and further develop the Dai Nam University alumni network; establish a strong foundation for a long-lasting bridge between the University - Students - Alumni, and Businesses," affirmed Mr. Phu.

Mr. Le Hong Phu is committed to developing a strong network of alumni and students of Dai Nam University.

Proud to be an alumnus of Dai Nam University and will strive wholeheartedly for the mission of 'senior classes supporting junior classes.

Also in the program, former students shared deeply touching sentiments and profound gratitude towards the Governing Board and teachers of Dai Nam University.

Mr. Le Quang Trung - a former student from the first batch in the Faculty of Finance and Banking, the Director of the Van Phu Branch at ACB Bank, expressed: "Although the 'pioneering class' faced some disadvantages, I still believe that choosing Dai Nam University was a wise decision. Honestly, at that time, we weren't entirely focused on studying. The strictness of the teachers compelled us to train rigorously, study seriously, and take exams seriously. Thanks to this, after a year of internship, I passed the exam and was recruited by ACB Bank. Now, I always aspire to collaborate with the University in recruiting interns, ready to recruit suitable personnel for official positions. I am determined to make every effort to accompany, build, and develop the Dai Nam University student community, creating more value for the country”.

Mr. Le Quang Trung shared with deep gratitude and pride the shared home of Dai Nam University.

Ms. Nguyen Thu Ha - a former student from the second cohort in the Faculty of Finance and Banking shared: “Being among the first batch of students at the Hesco campus, I found the learning environment impeccable. The professors always treated us like their own children, offering constant care, encouragement, and support not only in academics but also in our daily lives. The motto of Dai Nam University is 'study honestly, take exams honestly, no cheating, no deception". Coming to each exam, we are more stressed than the university entrance exam. But in return, the scores we achieved were all real abilities. Therefore, we are completely confident when holding the transcript to apply for a job. And indeed, I passed thousands of applications to be admitted to Techcombank. Now, I have the opportunity to return to collaborate with the school, convey skills, experience and job information to future students. I feel immensely happy and proud. If given the chance, I would still choose Dai Nam University."

Ms. Nguyen Thu Ha fondly recalled her school memories.

Ms. Trieu Thi My Hanh - the third cohort in the Faculty of Finance and Banking, Researcher at Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development, member, Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, term VIII, visiting lecturers from many universities shared: “Despite not having the privilege of enjoying the spacious and modern learning environment as the later cohorts of students, I am still happy and proud to witness Dai Nam University's continuous growth. Observing every step taken by Dai Nam, I have noticed that the institution has very specific and timely development strategies. The motto of 'internationalizing education' helps students not to be confined within the domestic scope but allows them to reach out to the world and integrate. The establishment of the alumni network of Dai Nam University undoubtedly enhances the bond between generations, providing opportunities for senior classes to support the junior ones. Thank you, Dai Nam University, for connecting, inspiring, and nurturing the dreams of generations of students. We are always proud to be alumni who have matured from the nurturing environment of Dai Nam University."
