Dai Nam students continue with the environmental cleaning movement

The environmental cleaning movement is a regular and exciting activity of Dai Nam University students. Right from the first years of implementation, the movement has received positive responses and effects from society. Towards the school's founding anniversary on November 14, 2015 and to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20, the Youth Union Executive Committee of Dai Nam University continues to launch the environmental cleaning movement to faculties, groups, and clubs in the school. With the purpose of educating and raising students' sense of responsibility in protecting the school landscape and the surrounding living environment. Starting from the morning of November 8, 2015, the Student Volunteer Team has been picking up trash in the Thanh Nien Street area, West Lake.
Perhaps when going to West Lake, with the Thanh Nien road to Ly Tu Trong flower garden several kilometers long, we do not see a single trash can. This is what causes a lot of trash to be thrown around. Every afternoon, walking along West Lake, we will see the phenomenon of sunflower seed shells, coconut shells, candy, sugarcane bagasse or trash paper thrown around right on the road, at the base of trees, sometimes even thrown into the lake. This phenomenon has ruined the urban beauty, causing a bad impression on tourists. But after only one hour, Dai Nam students changed that landscape. The trash was picked up by the students, the small but very humane and meaningful actions of Dai Nam students have made many people and tourists feel ashamed.
The movement to pick up trash to clean the environment is a meaningful volunteer activity of Dai Nam University.
Work hard and seriously
Most of the members of the volunteer team participating this time are new members of the team, all are first-year students. Wishing to contribute to environmental protection, especially to better understand the school's movement and volunteer activities, the students are very enthusiastic and serious in their work. Ha Thi Vinh, a student of Law class KT 09-01 shared: " Participating in volunteer activities makes my life more meaningful. The school's trash collection movement is very educational for us. We young people are still not aware of protecting the environment, but when participating in this activity, I am more aware and will advise everyone not to litter."
In just a short time, the garbage was cleaned up by volunteer students.
In the following weeks, the faculties will continue to carry out activities of picking up trash and cleaning up Hanoi's landscape according to the plan issued by the Youth Union Executive Committee. Teachers and students of Dai Nam University will join hands to protect and preserve the landscape and environment, building a green - clean - beautiful learning environment and capital.
