Faced with the increasingly serious environmental pollution situation and in order to educate awareness, raise responsibility for environmental protection among staff, lecturers and students , deeply spread the message of joining hands to protect the environment in the community , continue and maintain the success of environmental protection activities carried out over the past years, Dai Nam University has implemented an environmental protection program with the theme "For a clean Hanoi". As soon as it was launched, the program received attention and enthusiastic participation from staff, lecturers and students throughout the school.

Sharing about the program, Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Principal said: "Perhaps, Hanoi has never had to suffer the consequences of environmental pollution as serious as it is now. Environmental pollution is destroying people's lives and futures every day and every hour. We are unwittingly strangling ourselves to death without even knowing it..."

According to Ms. Cao Thi Hoa, the polluted living environment affects young people the most. Therefore, students cannot stay out of this fight. “If one person is aware, that family is aware; if many families are aware, the community is aware. Each person needs to take responsibility in the fight against plastic pollution and save their own lives…” Ms. Cao Thi Hoa emphasized.

Take to the streets for a clean Hanoi

From early morning, staff, lecturers and students of Dai Nam University were present at assigned locations to share meaningful environmental messages with the community.

Immediately after the launch, on the morning of November 2, hundreds of cadres, lecturers and students of Dai Nam University took to the streets at traffic lights, supermarkets and shopping centers on the route from Nga Tu So (Thanh Xuan) - Phu Lam (Ha Dong) to spread the message of "saying no" to plastic bags, disposable plastic products, limiting the use of personal vehicles, protecting water resources...

The environmental message of teachers and students of Dai Nam University received public attention.

With meaningful messages such as: "Using paper bags is to see the future", "Using plastic bags is not stylish"; "don't go out and disregard life", "for the sake of the environment, despise plastic products", "white waste in the river is lifeless", "destroying the environment is suicide", ... and serious "say no" activities to plastic bags and single-use plastic products carried out synchronously and systematically throughout the school, the environmental protection program " For a clean Hanoi" of Dai Nam University has contributed to spreading the message of environmental protection in the community.

Sharing with us, Dinh Minh Phuong - a student of the Faculty of Law, Dai Nam University said: “In the past, I often used plastic bags and single-use plastic items. I really did not know that my abuse contributed to the serious environmental pollution situation as it is today. After participating in the environmental protection activities of the School, I realized that I need to take responsibility to join hands to protect the environment. And the first thing I will do is to minimize the use of plastic bags and single-use plastic items and actively use public transportation to travel…”

Similarly, Nguyen Phuong Thao, a student of the Faculty of Public Relations and Communications, Dai Nam University, could not hide her pride when participating in this meaningful propaganda activity. “ Environmental pollution is directly threatening our lives and future. As a young person, I feel that I cannot stand aside…” Thao excitedly said.

At the launch, many people joined the ranks of Dai Nam University teachers and students and asked for posters from Dai Nam University teachers and students to spread the message "For a clean Hanoi" to the community.

Mr. Nguyen Danh Tich - Ha Dong, Hanoi shared: “ Propaganda activities with real people and real events like this are very useful and commendable. It helps people better understand the harmful effects of environmental pollution, thereby becoming more aware of protecting their living environment…”

Passersby joined in the launch program of Dai Nam teachers and students.

On the following Saturdays of November, Dai Nam teachers and students will spread the message to the community at intersections on the road from Nga Tu So - Ha Dong, including: CoopMart Ha Dong intersection; Big C Ho Guom Plaza intersection; Ha Dong Post Office intersection; Ha Dong Stadium intersection and Khuat Duy Tien - Nguyen Trai intersection. At these locations, Dai Nam teachers and students will use banners, streamers, slogans and slogans to propagate environmental issues with the aim of raising people's awareness of environmental protection. It is worth noting that these propaganda contents were conceptualized and designed by the school's staff, lecturers and students.
