Dai Nam University 13 years in review

November 14, 2007 - The Prime Minister signed a Decision allowing Dai Nam University to officially come into operation and enroll its first class. Since that year, Dai Nam University officially took November 14 as the founding date of the University. Dr. Le Dac Son was recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training as the first Chairman of the Board of Directors of the University. Facilities system for teaching and learning

After more than 5 years of difficulty in renting teaching facilities, Dai Nam University officially had its own “roof” when the headquarters at No. 1 Pho Xom – Phu Lam – Ha Dong – Hanoi was started to be built. The year 2010 became an important milestone in the history of the development of the University; marking the milestone for the journey of “settling down and working” for a long time and sustainably.

After 13 years, Dai Nam University owns 02 spacious training facilities. The main office is located at No. 1 Pho Xom - Phu Lam - Ha Dong - Hanoi; the second facility is located at No. 56 Vu Trong Phung - Thanh Xuan - Hanoi.

The total land area for the school complex at the main campus is nearly 9 hectares with a full system of 110 classrooms, an area of nearly 12,000 m2, diverse in area, suitable for the different learning needs of students. The classrooms are fully equipped with modern teaching and learning support equipment. In particular, every DNU lecture hall has air conditioning to best serve the learning needs of teachers and students.

The separate Pharmacy Practice Center is located right on campus with 4 pharmaceutical chemistry experimental practice workshops with more than 50 rooms, 10 technical practice workshops with an area of 1,000 m2, a practice pharmacy, 02 herbal medicine gardens that meet the standards of the Ministry of Health for university pharmacist training facilities. The system of machinery, equipment for practice and experimentation of the Faculty of Pharmacy is assessed to be on par with large, prestigious pharmacist training facilities in the country and internationally.

Training system

After 13 years since its establishment, Dai Nam University has left many proud marks, with 16 regular university training majors in 04 majors including:

-Health (Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing);

- Economics (Finance - Banking, Accounting, Business Administration, Economic Law, Tourism);

- Engineering (IT, Construction, Architecture);

- Social sciences and humanities (English Language, Chinese Language, Korean Language, Japanese Language, Public Relations and Communication).

-Master of Pharmaceutical Management;

- Master of Accounting;

Human resource system

Dai Nam University has continuously increased its training majors and levels; the number of students and trainees has also increased rapidly along with the quantity and quality of its permanent staff and lecturers.

If in the first school year 2007-2008, the school only had 35 permanent staff and lecturers, now this number is 648 people with 360 permanent lecturers including 3 Professors, 33 Associate Professors, 87 Doctors, 201 Masters, 13 times higher than the first school year. In particular, the number of staff and lecturers trained in countries with developed education such as: USA, UK, Australia, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Taiwan... working at Dai Nam is increasing.

Number of students

After more than a decade of training, Dai Nam University has 25,000 students and trainees studying. By 2020, the University had enrolled 14 regular university courses; 10 courses had graduated with nearly 10,000 Pharmacists, Bachelors, Engineers, and Architects. Every year, there are more than 8,000 students studying in 16 training majors.

Regarding postgraduate training, the school has had more than 1,000 graduate students. Currently, Dai Nam University has nearly 800 graduate students studying in 05 training majors.

Student employment rate

The rate of graduates finding jobs in their major is over 90%, many majors reach 100% with high starting salaries and good advancement opportunities.

Organizational system
