As of 6:00 a.m. on February 6, the National Health Commission of China confirmed that the number of new coronavirus infections had exceeded 28,000; the death toll increased by 73 to 565 worldwide. Vietnam has recorded 10 cases of coronavirus infection, including 7 Vietnamese, 1 Vietnamese American and 2 Chinese.

In the context of the outbreak of acute pneumonia caused by the Corona virus and its unpredictable developments; implementing the Official Dispatch No. 43/CD-BGDĐT of the Minister of Education and Training dated January 28, 2020 on the implementation of Directive No. 05/CT-TTg dated January 28, 2020 of the Prime Minister on the prevention and control of acute respiratory infections caused by the new strain of Corona virus; in order to ensure the health of all cadres, lecturers, staff and students; to ensure the teaching and learning plan of the school, the President of Dai Nam University has decided to establish a Steering Committee for the prevention and control of the Corona virus epidemic consisting of 26 members.
The members of the Steering Committee for the prevention and control of the Corona virus epidemic of Dai Nam University are teachers in the Board of Directors; heads and deputy heads of Faculties, Departments, Institutes, Centers and medical staff in the school.
Accordingly, the Steering Committee for the Prevention and Control of the Corona Virus Disease is responsible for implementing tasks related to the prevention and control of the Corona virus disease, following the direction of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and Training, the People's Committee and the Hanoi City Department of Health. The Steering Committee will dissolve itself after the Corona epidemic ends.
As soon as information about the Corona virus epidemic was received, the Board of Directors of Dai Nam University directed the disinfection of the two campuses. The entire system of offices for staff, lecturers and employees; the system of lecture halls, libraries, computer rooms, practice rooms; dormitories; canteens; and the school grounds were disinfected with antiseptic solution every day and chloramine B solution twice a week. Hand soap was continuously added to the restrooms of the two campuses. Staff, lecturers, employees and students coming to school were encouraged to wear masks and absolutely avoid crowded gatherings.
At the same time, to effectively prevent the epidemic, the Board of Directors of Dai Nam University promptly issued a notice to the entire school recommending specific epidemic prevention measures to each cadre, lecturer, staff and student.
