Dai Nam University established Vietnam - Japan International Training Institute

In order to further promote the training of high-quality, internationally-standardized human resources in Japanese Language and Culture, meeting the recruitment needs of Japanese enterprises in Vietnam and Japan, on the morning of February 2, 2021, Dai Nam University (DNU) and the Japanese Language Education Association for Non-Chinese Language Countries (JLAN) signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement to establish the Vietnam - Japan International Training Institute.
Due to the epidemic conditions, the signing ceremony to establish the Vietnam - Japan International Training Institute was held online.
Attending the signing ceremony, on behalf of the guests from Japan, there was the presence of Mr. Vu Binh - Consul General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Fukuoka; Mr. Takeuchi Kazumichi - General Director of Sekaijinzai World Human Resources Joint Stock Company.
On behalf of Dai Nam University, there were Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the University Council, Board of Directors, leaders of departments, faculties, lecturers, and student representatives of the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture.
Dr. Le Dac Son affirmed that the establishment of the Vietnam - Japan International Training Institute will be an important milestone for the training activities of Japanese Language and Culture at Dai Nam University.
On the side of JLAN Association, there were Mr. Hashino Nobuo - Chairman of the Association, Mr. Nguyen Duy Anh - Member of the Association.
Due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the signing ceremony was held online. Accordingly, representatives of the two sides signed the cooperation agreement at two locations: Dai Nam University (Hanoi - Vietnam) and the Consulate General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (Fukuoka, Japan).
Sharing at the signing ceremony, Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Dai Nam University said: " Dai Nam University's ambition does not stop at training Bachelors in Japanese Language and Culture to international standards, but also aims to train Japanese as a second foreign language (after English) for students of the whole school. Especially promoting international cooperation activities and training in Japanese for other majors such as: Information Technology, Business Administration, Automotive Engineering... to meet the recruitment needs of businesses in Japan."
Dr. Le Dac Son signed a memorandum of cooperation to establish the Vietnam - Japan International Training Institute.
With the establishment of the Vietnam - Japan International Training Institute, the head of Dai Nam University affirmed that this will be an important milestone for the internationalization process of training in Japanese Language and Culture, an opportunity to bring an international standard learning environment and experience to Dai Nam University students.
“The JLAN Association is one of the prestigious organizations in Japan, operating in Vietnam for many years. The training cooperation activities between Dai Nam University and the JLAN Association are implemented in accordance with the spirit of comprehensive training and human development, trusted and highly appreciated by society. The proof is that the Japanese Language and Culture Department of the school has just enrolled its first year of students but has attracted a large number of students to study,” Dr. Le Dac Son added.

Commenting on the establishment of the Vietnam-Japan International Training Institute, Mr. Vu Binh - Consul General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Fukuoka, Japan said: “ The Vietnam-Japan International Training Institute is the result of the process of combining ideas on building a modern Vietnamese education system, aiming to develop high-quality Japanese human resources that meet international standards. I highly appreciate the efforts, dedication and vision of those involved in this process, especially when the implementation of activities takes place under the unprecedented impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic. The establishment of the Institute is very timely and will be a specific contribution to the rapidly developing strategic partnership that is increasingly strong in both breadth and depth between Vietnam and Japan…”
Vietnam - Japan International Training Institute is a unit under Dai Nam University, with the function of planning and organizing educational activities, training high-quality human resources according to international standards; providing services related to education, training and human resource development while promoting international cooperation.
Immediately after the signing ceremony, the Vietnam - Japan International Training Institute will begin organizing training activities and developing human resources according to Japanese standards in particular and international standards in general. Coordinate with domestic and foreign partners to organize and implement scientific research, compile textbooks, books and scientific documents to integrate with modern trends in the world of education and training. Develop strategies and plans for international cooperation according to each development stage of the Institute. Organize negotiations and sign cooperation documents between the Institute and domestic and Japanese partners on developing high-quality human resources, technology transfer and other fields. Consult and provide international cooperation services to related partners. Provide translation and interpretation services and confirm Vietnamese-Japanese bilingual translation documents for individuals and organizations in need.
