Doing business on digital platforms is becoming increasingly popular and is an inevitable trend in the digital age. With the aim of nurturing and fostering potential business projects; raising awareness of the importance of digital business; contributing to building a dynamic startup ecosystem. In particular, to affirm the position of Dai Nam University in training high-quality human resources for the field of digital business, Dai Nam University cooperates with Eco Academy to organize the Digital Business Innovation Challenge (DBIC) 2024.

Journey with impressive numbers

After 3 months of implementation, DBIC 2024 attracted the participation of 28 teams, 127 candidates from prestigious universities in the Northern region; the companionship of more than 30 enterprises that are strategic partners of the Faculty of E-commerce & Information Technology.

Participating in the contest, contestants also get to meet, interact, and be inspired by famous KOLs and KOCs on digital platforms, such as: Ms. Nguyen Thai Ha - CEO JOHN HUNT, Tiktoker "million views" Thung Long Family, Vinh Pham...

The final round of the competition was a competition between 05 teams from the following schools: Dai Nam University, Thuy Loi University, Thang Long University, and the Academy of Policy and Development.

The judges of the DBIC 2024 Final Round are leaders of prestigious enterprises: Dr. Le Anh Hung - Director of STI Vietnam Company, Director of the Institute of Science and Innovation; Mr. Bui Quang Cuong - General Director of iViet Solution, Member of the Executive Committee of Vietnam E-commerce Association (VECOM); Mr. Nguyen Viet Duc - CEO of Sale Mall Joint Stock Company; Mr. Le Quynh Son - General Director of ATOSA Technology Joint Stock Company; Mr. Nguyen Trong Tho - General Director of INET.

Projects with high feasibility when deployed on digital business platforms

Mr. Le Anh Hung affirmed: DBIC 2024 is one of the programs with large scale and high influence. The quality of candidates and projects is even, with high feasibility when deployed on digital platforms.

Mr. Bui Quang Cuong highly appreciated the expertise, skills, and professionalism of the teams in coming up with ideas, planning strategies, implementing projects, reporting revenue, break-even points, and profits. He affirmed that the teams operated professionally as if they were actually operating at a digital-based business.

The joint team of Dai Nam University and Thang Long University excellently won the First Prize and received investment from enterprises.

The final round was a "fierce" confrontation between 05 teams with potential projects in the fields of E-commerce, Digital Business Ideas, and Digital Marketing.

With the Ngoc Linh ginseng planting project in Mu Cang Chai, the Ebiz team of the alliance of Dai Nam University and Thang Long University helps develop ginseng growing areas, develop local tourism, build the Mu Cang Chai Ngoc Linh Ginseng brand, and create jobs for local people.

The practical, potential project, along with impressive presentation skills, logical and sharp arguments, helped the Ebiz team win the championship trophy, with a total prize value of up to 20 million VND in cash, online business courses worth nearly 100 million VND from accompanying businesses. In particular, the project received investment from businesses to deploy and develop on digital business platforms.

The second prize winning team - Mecy from the "joint forces" of Dai Nam University and Thuy Loi University has developed a dynamic fashion brand of pajamas from recycled materials and applied the B2C model, bringing products directly to consumers quickly and conveniently through multi-channel distribution on digital platforms.

The EcoG project - Green technology is an idea of a group of students from Thuy Loi University, providing a solution to connect the recycling ecosystem with an automatic waste collection and classification system, contributing to environmental protection and won the third prize.

The Border Dream Project was built by students of Dai Nam University to develop volunteer tourism combined with cultural experiences in the northern border provinces, contributing to promoting and developing local products, winning the Promising Award.

TeshQuest team from the Institute of Policy and Development has practical proposals on a virtual university model to help high school students orient their careers and experience the university learning environment, winning the Promising Award.

Associate Professor, Dr. Truong Duc Thao - Head of the Faculty of E-commerce and Information Technology, Dai Nam University said: After this competition, the Faculty of E-commerce and Information Technology immediately signed with 32 enterprises so that all students of the faculty could directly go to enterprises for internship.
