DNU 2023 National Defense - Security Subject Excellent Lecturer Competition: Promoting the emulation movement of excellent teaching, replicating advanced models

Implementing Decision No. 580/QD-BTT of the Standing Committee of the Central Council for National Defense Education; at the same time, encouraging and motivating the spirit of the teaching staff, promoting the emulation movement of excellent teaching in the School in general, comprehensively innovating the education and training of the subject of National Defense - Security in particular; recently, Dai Nam University organized the 2023 National Defense - Security Excellent Lecturer Competition. Through the competition, the school selected outstanding lecturers in the excellent teaching movement to honor and promote advanced models.

The 2023 National Defense - Security Lecturer Competition was organized professionally and meticulously.

Speaking at the contest, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Hong - Principal said: Since its establishment, Dai Nam University has always identified National Defense - Security Education as an important subject, contributing to fostering basic skills, raising students' awareness of building the foundation of national defense and people's security; fostering personality, qualities, loyalty to the ideal of national independence and socialism, meeting the requirements and tasks of building and protecting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the new situation.

To ensure students' learning, the Faculty and the School constantly innovate and improve the quality of teaching. Accordingly, lecturers are continuously improved their political theory awareness, professional qualifications; access and master modern teaching methods through training sessions, self-training at the Faculty, participation in teaching demonstrations, and annual excellent lecturer competitions.

Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Hong affirmed: National Defense and Security Education is an important subject, contributing to training disciplined lifestyle and disciplined study for students.

At the 2023 National Defense - Security Lecturer Competition, lecturers participated in the following contents: General understanding of teaching theory and National Defense - Security policies; Practice of team command; Lecture competition on theoretical and practical lessons, etc.

The teachers all achieved near-perfect scores in the teaching theory and National Defense - Security policy exams.

Teacher Giap Hoai The Anh guides soldiers in performing the Gun Inspection action.

Mr. Nguyen Luong Dinh guides students on the content of Platoon Team.

Based on careful and meticulous preparation, the lecturers demonstrated their mettle and teaching ability at the Competition. In particular, the teaching methods used by the teachers were flexible and suitable for each learning situation. They were serious, meticulous, and "disciplined" on the training ground; dynamic, close to vivid examples, and attractive minigames during theoretical lectures in the lecture hall. This made the students feel both excited and easily absorb the lectures.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuong presented the content "Awareness of preventing and combating violations of environmental protection laws".

Students actively ask and answer questions in class.

Ms. Tran Le Thu with the lecture "Information security and prevention of law violations in cyberspace".

With a near-perfect score, comrade Tran Le Thu won the First Prize in the 2023 National Defense - Security Lecturer Competition of Dai Nam University; comrades Nguyen Luong Dinh, Nguyen Thi Thuong, and Giap Hoai The Anh won the Second Prize overall.

Representatives of the Board of Directors presented awards to excellent lecturers of National Defense - Security in 2023.

Comrade Nguyen Ba Lam - Head of the Department of National Defense and Security Education said: "The contest once again affirms the youth, intelligence, seriousness, and constant efforts of the teachers of the Department of National Defense and Security Education, Dai Nam University. At the same time, the teachers also see that: The Council and the Board of Directors of the School pay great attention to the subject of National Defense and Security Education. Therefore, teachers need to try harder to self-study, research, promote creativity in teaching, "training people" education, contributing to inspiring, fostering will, determination and creating momentum for students to complete their studies at the School well and step firmly into the future".

The 2023 National Defense and Security Education Excellent Lecturer Competition was a great success, finding outstanding lecturers in the excellent teaching movement to honor and promote advanced models. In the coming time, the National Defense and Security Education Department will continue to organize seminars, training sessions, demonstration lectures, competitions, etc. for lecturers to cultivate political qualities, improve qualifications, skills and teaching methods.
