With the slogan “Green – Environment, Green – Knowledge, Green – Ethics”, the emulation movement “Green Lecture Hall” was launched in March – Youth Month and officially implemented from the beginning of April 2016.
In order to create a friendly learning and training environment for youth union members to improve their knowledge, professional skills and enhance their sense of ethics and culture in the school environment. At the same time, contributing to enhancing the image of Dai Nam University as friendly, civilized, polite, and environmentally conscious. Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Dai Nam University has launched the emulation movement "Green Lecture Hall". With the slogan "Green - Environment, Green - Knowledge, Green - Ethics", the emulation movement "Green Lecture Hall" was launched in March - Youth Month and officially implemented from the beginning of April 2016.
This is the first year that Dai Nam University launched the " Green Lecture Hall" emulation movement, but as soon as the movement was implemented throughout the school, it left many good impressions on staff, lecturers and students. The branches and inter-branches of the Youth Union have seriously implemented the regulations of the "Green Lecture Hall", enthusiastically competing to practice good behavior and culture in the learning environment. Teachers and students compete to teach well, study well, say no to uncultured behavior in school, eliminate negative behavior in exams to move towards a Green knowledge environment. In addition, lecturers and students of the whole school also enthusiastically carry out activities to clean classrooms and the school campus towards a Green pedagogical environment.

Youth Union participates in preserving "Green Lecture Hall"
The Youth Volunteer Team (YVS) was established with 52 outstanding members from different Youth Unions and divided into two groups operating at two campuses of the school. The YVS will be the core force to help the Youth Union Executive Committee monitor and follow the implementation of the "Green Lecture Hall" regulations of each Youth Union, Youth Union Branch and individual students. Accordingly, members of the YVS will have to arrive at school 15 minutes before each class and leave later than the others to complete the work assigned by the School.
Based on the three criteria of the “Green Lecture Hall” movement, TNXK has the task of monitoring and urging students to strictly implement the regulations of school culture, members of the class must attend school regularly, on time, wear full student ID cards when coming to school, remind students to maintain order in the classroom and actively participate in class. Not only directly related to studying in class, students of Dai Nam University must proactively participate in preserving the school landscape, cleaning lecture halls, hallways, campus, maintaining facilities... towards a green, clean and beautiful environment, thereby creating a change and spreading in raising awareness of environmental protection in general.

At the end of the month, the Youth Union Team will summarize the points, rank the highest performing Youth Union branches, and have rewards and commendations. At the same time, Youth Union branches that do not properly implement the movement's regulations and have members who frequently violate them will have their competition points deducted and be criticized before the School Youth Union Executive Committee.

After one month of implementation, the “Green Lecture Hall” movement has brought about very positive results. Youth Union branches, members and students are more aware and responsible in wearing student badges when coming to school, the situation of students smoking and littering in the wrong places has been significantly reduced. The “Green Lecture Hall” emulation movement has basically helped raise students’ awareness of studying, training and protecting the learning environment, helping students gradually form disciplined study and work habits.
According to His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa: “Life is only truly meaningful when we know how to preserve both the green of the outside environment and the green in our hearts – that is respect, love and sharing with family, friends, nature and all sentient beings” . Therefore, each DNU student – let’s join hands for our own green.
