According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, August 18 is the last day for universities and colleges to announce the list of candidates registering for admission, but many schools said they will continue to do this and create maximum conditions for candidates to submit and withdraw their applications.

In order to facilitate candidates interested in the admissions situation of Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City in the last five days of the first admissions round, starting from August 16, the school will announce the admissions situation every day instead of every three days as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Accordingly, the admission results at 5:00 p.m. today will be announced on the school website no later than 9:00 a.m. the next day.

MSc. Truong Tien Si, deputy head of the school's training department, said that in case of emergency, if the number of candidates coming to withdraw their applications is large, the school will increase staff and even work overtime to resolve the issue on the same day.

Currently, although the number of candidates with admission scores below the prescribed threshold coming to withdraw their applications is very large, the processing time is very fast, only 3 to 5 minutes/application," said Mr. Si. In just the first 45 minutes of this morning, August 17, the school has processed 58 candidates' withdrawals.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics publishes online registration information. When receiving or returning documents, the information will be displayed immediately on the school's website. Dr. Tran The Hoang, head of the school's training management department, said that the software that compiles the list of candidates registering for admission has excluded fake candidates, only showing the subject group with the highest total admission score.

In addition, in case many candidates have the same admission score and exceed the school's enrollment quota, priority will be given to candidates with higher Math scores until the quota is met; if this number is still higher than the quota, the school will continue to give priority to candidates with English scores from high to low until the quota is met.

"Thus, candidates looking up this list can know exactly their admission ranking," Mr. Hoang affirmed.

Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine updates the list of candidates registered for admission compared to the enrollment quota of each major as of 5:00 p.m. every day. Candidates can refer to it to know whether they have been provisionally admitted or not. Thus, candidates whose names are not on this list up to this point are definitely not admitted, so they need to withdraw their applications.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy also conducts statistics on expected admission scores and continuously updates them every day. Similarly, Saigon University also publishes updated admission information every day. Candidates can easily follow detailed temporary admission scores every day to know their chances of being admitted. Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry also said that it will continue to publish admission registration information until August 19.

Thousands of candidates who are certain to fail have not withdrawn their applications.

According to statistics from the Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City, there are currently about 1,200 applications that are certain to fail but have not yet been withdrawn. The school will process applications for withdrawal by 3 p.m. on August 20.

“We are committed to allowing candidates to withdraw their applications on the same day, without waiting until the next day. Candidates need to closely monitor the list of applications announced by the school. If they find that their scores are below the safety threshold, they need to withdraw their applications and apply to another school,” Mr. Si advised. The school will accept applications until the evening of August 20.

Dr. My Giang Son, head of the training department of Saigon University, said: "Currently, there are still more than 3,000 applications with scores below the safe score that candidates have not yet withdrawn. The school creates conditions for candidates to withdraw their applications by processing them as soon as possible and immediately entering information so that candidates can apply to other schools."

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Duc Minh, Head of Training Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, also said that there are currently about 2,000 applications with scores below the temporary admission standard. The school will "close the book" for receiving and withdrawing applications at 4:30 p.m. on August 20.

"Currently, the Ministry of Education and Training allows candidates to go to the Department of Education and Training or high schools according to the regulations of the department to submit or withdraw their application for admission, without having to go directly to universities to save time," said Mr. Minh.

MSc. Le Ngoc Tu, head of the training department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, said that as of August 16, the school had received about 9,000 applications and had allowed candidates to withdraw more than 2,500 applications. With current data, there are 6,305 applications left.

Meanwhile, MSc. Nguyen Ngoc Thai, an officer of the training management department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, said that the school arranged nearly 20 people to participate in receiving and returning documents to candidates.

“The school will continue to receive and return applications until 5 p.m. on August 20. However, candidates should not wait until the last minute to withdraw their applications, but should come earlier to be able to submit them to another school,” Mr. Thai advised.
