I used to feel inferior as a private school student.

I am Do Quang Huy - a former student of Accounting class 5 of Dai Nam University. Like many other students of private schools, I used to feel inferior when I was a student of a non-public school. At that time, I chose to study at Dai Nam University but in my mind I still had the heavy thought, "a public university is the best learning environment, the best path to open up a bright future".

After 4 years of studying and training at Dai Nam University, that thought has been erased. I gradually realized that public universities are not the only path to success; it is just a slightly smoother path to get closer to our dreams. Each person's future depends on the efforts and efforts of the present. If we do not make an effort, are not serious, determined and passionate in studying, then no matter which school we study at, the result will be zero.

What I am grateful for…

Tell me about yourself before studying at the Faculty of Accounting, Dai Nam University. In 2010, after graduating from high school, I was determined to take the entrance exam to a public university. However, luck did not smile on me. I was 1 point short of getting into the faculty and school I loved. After that time, I was very sad, feeling extremely uncertain and disoriented. At that time, I only wanted to study economics, while the schools in the economic sector had almost enough students. In my most confused moment, an experienced person guided me to study accounting. And I realized that studying accounting has many advantages. When I graduated, I could not only work as an accountant but also work as an accountant in a bank and in administration. So I decided to apply for NV2 admission to the Faculty of Accounting, Dai Nam University.

Not only successful in his work, Do Quang Huy is also very active in participating in charity activities.

Four years of studying and experiencing at Dai Nam University passed by quickly like a dream. The days of studying at university helped me gain a lot of knowledge, determination, confidence and courage... Teachers, especially those in the Faculty of Accounting, not only taught us professional knowledge but also taught us life lessons, ethics, how to behave and life skills to survive and live well in this increasingly developing society.

And what I am most grateful for is that the training program of the faculty is designed very scientifically and reasonably, meeting the strict recruitment needs of businesses. The training program and teaching progress are divided reasonably by each subject by teachers, focusing on basic subjects such as: Financial accounting, corporate finance, tax, auditing, business analysis... I remember, the Faculty of Accounting is the first place to apply training and teach the subject of Practical Accounting in Hanoi. Teachers let us come into contact with real invoices and documents that businesses often use. Thanks to that, when applying for a job, I was not surprised because I had professional experience during my studies.

Dynamic, eager to learn, daring to think and act, Do Quang Huy has achieved admirable successes in his career.

Not only that, when we leave school to work, the teachers and the school always care and closely follow us. There are still discussions to connect the school with our alumni and current students. The school creates all conditions to help us find jobs and have better jobs.

The facilities, classrooms, and equipment change every day, contributing to our comfort and attachment to the school. Seminars and presentations by leading experts are regularly organized by the Faculty and the School. In particular, Dai Nam is the first school to introduce Soft Skills into teaching, implement the TOIEC output standard from 450 points and focus on IT training. Thanks to that, I have become much more confident, the ability to present in front of a crowd, and communicate in English well for work.

Stumble to grow up…

When I first graduated, I sent my CV to many places to apply for jobs, and was even tricked into applying for a warehouse accountant position, but when I got the job, I had to work as a porter and a shipping clerk. During the process of applying for a job and asserting myself, there were times when I felt tired and discouraged. However, I always told myself that the more difficult it was, the more I had to try 2 or 3 times harder to prove myself.

"Without Dai Nam, I am who I am today..."

After all the efforts, after more than 1 year of graduation, I was appointed as the chief accountant of a large company with a good income. After nearly 4 years of graduation, I decided to separate and work on my own with the desire to establish a private company specializing in accounting training. Although I know that there are still many difficulties and challenges ahead, I believe that with my knowledge, skills, practical experience and passion, I will realize my dream....

Never regret…

After more than 4 years of graduation, I realized that I have never regretted studying at Dai Nam University. I am very proud of the school I attended, proud of being welcomed by the wonderful people here. It is like my second family. If I could choose again, I would definitely choose Dai Nam University because it is Dai Nam that makes me who I am today…

With all my own experiences and collisions, I want to share with Dai Nam students: Never put too much emphasis on public and private schools, never feel inferior when you are a student of a non-public school because society is no longer heavy, so there is no reason for you to create barriers for yourself. Instead of feeling inferior, try to study well. In addition to professional knowledge, you need to learn foreign languages, information technology and soft skills well. Do more jobs related to your major. Actively participate in extracurricular activities and organizations to meet and interact more, from there grow up and become stronger every day.
