After nearly 2 months of launching, the 2019 English Olympic Final officially took place on the morning of May 16, at Dai Nam University (Phu Lam - Ha Dong - Hanoi). With the theme "Let's go green", the competition is an opportunity for students to improve their knowledge and skills in using English; build a foreign language learning community among Dai Nam University students; educate awareness and spread messages of joining hands to protect the environment among young people and the community.

The 2019 English Olympic Final attracted the attention of many staff, lecturers and students in the school.

The 2019 English Olympic finals were attended by the Board of Directors, leaders of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, staff, lecturers of Departments, Faculties, Institutes, Centers and a large number of students from the whole school.

Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Principal spoke at the final round of the competition.

Speaking at the final round of the competition, Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Principal said: In the current period of international integration, foreign languages are one of the indispensable means of communication for young people. Being good at foreign languages helps students after graduation to be able to work in many important positions and in any country in the world.

According to Ms. Cao Thi Hoa, Dai Nam University is one of the first universities in the North to apply the TOEIC output standard of 450 points. Dai Nam University students actively participate in specialized and non-specialized English Olympic competitions nationwide to exchange, learn, and improve their knowledge and English skills.

“Competitions like this are extremely useful practical experiences for students. This is an opportunity for students from different faculties to exchange, learn, and improve their knowledge and English skills; it is an extremely important premise for Dai Nam students to achieve high results in national and international competitions…”, said Ms. Cao Thi Hoa.

Greeting contest with meaningful and impressive environmental messages by team PK10 from Faculty of Pharmacy - K11.

The English Olympic Competition for the 2018-2019 academic year was hosted by the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Dai Nam University. After a short time of launching, the competition attracted the attention and response of 14 teams from all faculties in the whole school. After two rigorous preliminary rounds, the Organizing Committee selected the 6 best teams to compete in the final round.

Sharing about the contest's theme "Let's go green" , Dr. Dang Ngoc Huong - Head of the Faculty of Foreign Languages said: " Environmental pollution is a hot issue globally. Through the contest, we hope to contribute to raising awareness and responsibility for environmental protection among students, thereby spreading deeply into the social community..."

The teams compete in the Social Knowledge contest.

The final round was extremely exciting. The teams not only impressed and surprised with the colorful Greeting round with meaningful environmental protection messages, but also demonstrated their extensive social knowledge through the Social Knowledge round and their confidence and courage through the Eloquence round.

At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee selected the best teams to award prizes. The Shining Medicine team from the Faculty of Pharmacy - K11 became the champion of the competition. The second prize went to the Faculty of Tourism. The third prize went to the 7Gee team from the Faculty of Accounting and the Slytherin team from the Faculty of Foreign Languages. The encouragement prize went to the PK 10 team from the Faculty of Pharmacy k10 and the Boomin team from the Faculty of Public Relations and Communications. The most favorite video award went to the PK10 Pharmacy team.

Dr. Dang Ngoc Huong - Head of Foreign Languages Department awarded the favorite video award to team PK10 from Pharmacy Department - K10.

Ms. Pham Thi Oanh - Deputy Head of Foreign Languages Faculty awarded the Encouragement Prize to Team PK10 and Boomin team.

MSc. Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh awarded Third Prize to Team 7Gee and Team Slytherin.

Dr. Dang Ngoc Huong and Ms. Pham Thi Oanh awarded the first prize to the Shining Medicine team and the second prize to the Faculty of Tourism team.
