Overview of the Faculty

On August 14, 2013, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Decision No. 2965/QD-BGDDT on assigning Dai Nam University to train full-time undergraduate students in Pharmacy.

The Faculty of Pharmacy is one of the strong and key faculties of Dai Nam University. “Linking training with practice”; “learning to practice” ; training generations of pharmacists who are good at their profession and have good moral qualities; becoming a prestigious and high-quality university pharmacist training address, highly trusted by society is the “compass” and goal of the Faculty of Pharmacy.

To improve the quality of training, the Faculty always strives to find breakthrough improvements in teaching. After graduation, students of the Faculty of Pharmacy must have good professional qualifications, good moral qualities, and meet foreign language requirements to be able to work in any position in the country and abroad...

Leadership team, teachers and staff

1. Head of Department: Dr. Pham Van Nguyen - former Director of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology Center, Vietnam Pharmaceutical Corporation;
2. Deputy Head of Department: DSCKI. Phan Viet Phuong - former Vice President of Hanoi University of Pharmacy;
3. Deputy Head of Faculty: Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Ngoc Bung - former Head of Physics - Physical Chemistry Department, Hanoi University of Pharmacy.

Faculty Strengths

- A team of experienced and dedicated staff and lecturers, who have held important roles in departments of Hanoi University of Pharmacy, Military Medical Academy, Hanoi Medical University and young lecturers with enthusiastic Master's degrees in Pharmacy.
- Fully equipped, modern facilities
- Separate Pharmacy Practice Area, meeting the standards of the Ministry of Health for training facilities for university pharmacists
- In particular, the Faculty of Pharmacy has a practical pharmacy equipped, arranged and organized according to the GPP pharmacy model for students to practice selling drugs, practicing sales communication skills, practicing drug use consultation and practicing prescription analysis.
- The Medicinal Plant Garden is built according to the List of Essential Medicines issued by the Minister of Health.
- The scientific research room area is reserved for students to conduct scientific research projects.

- About scholarships: The rate of students receiving scholarships is always among the top of the school.

- Outstanding teaching and scientific research activities: Scientific research work of students is promoted, contributing to improving the quality of training; approaching and applying scientific research methods; solving a number of scientific and practical problems. Many scientific research works of students and lecturers are highly appreciated by the School and have good applicability, such as the topics: Research on the ability to meet the output standards of Pharmacy students K.7, Dai Nam University; Evaluation of the stability of some self-prepared vitamin injection solutions...

- The Faculty of Pharmacy, Dai Nam University strives to become a high-quality pharmacist training address that is trusted and well-regarded by society. After graduation, Pharmacists of Dai Nam University can use English fluently, expanding job opportunities with domestic and foreign enterprises. After graduation, students of the Faculty of Pharmacy can apply for jobs as Pharmacist Specialist 1, Pharmacist Specialist 2, pharmaceutical business... The output standards of the Pharmacy major of Dai Nam University ensure that graduates have a university degree, good political qualities and solid specialized knowledge, ensuring job requirements.
