Full scholarship to study abroad, stay and work long-term in Taiwan - opportunity for DNU IT students to reach out to the big sea

With the full scholarship program, the Taiwanese government provides full tuition fees worth NT$100,000/year (about VND80 million); businesses provide living expenses of NT$10,000/month (about VND8 million), opening up many opportunities for long-term study and work in Taiwan for students majoring in Information Technology at Dai Nam University (DNU).

In particular, under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Education of Taiwan, many study abroad and work opportunities will be opened for students majoring in Engineering and Technology at the school.
Dai Nam University signed a cooperation agreement with leading universities in Taiwan to implement a new Specialized Program.
Recently, the Taiwanese Government decided to award 60 full scholarships under the New Specialization Program in Vietnam to K14 and K15 students majoring in Information Technology at Dai Nam University.
K14 and K15 students majoring in Information Technology are excited and eager for the 100% scholarship program of the Taiwanese Government.
What do students get from the Taiwan Government's full scholarship program?
With the 3+1+1 dual degree program, students complete 3 years of undergraduate training in Information Technology at Dai Nam University. From the 4th year, students go to Taiwan to study.
In the first year in Taiwan, students will study 16-22 credits of specialized courses and learn Chinese. At the end of this school year, students will take the B1 Chinese certificate exam.
In the second year, students study elective courses; do specialized internships at businesses (40 hours/week) and have an income equivalent to 1,000 USD/month (about 25 million VND).
After completing 5 years of study, students will receive 2 degrees: Bachelor of Information Technology from Dai Nam University and Engineer from Taiwan.
Mr. Dau Hai Phong - Deputy Head of Information Technology Department shared specifically about the Taiwan Government Scholarship Program.
After graduation, students have the opportunity to work for businesses in Taiwan (which provide living expenses scholarships) for a minimum of 02 years. They will be assigned jobs that match their expertise, with a starting income of 1,000 USD/month.
The Taiwanese government covers the entire tuition fee of NT$100,000/year (about VND80 million) and the company subsidizes living expenses of NT$10,000/month (about VND8 million).
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai Tam - Director of the International Training Institute of Dai Nam University said: Information Technology students will study at Taichung University under the Taiwan Iron and Steel Corporation. The training program will closely follow the practical needs of businesses, ensuring that students can work right during their studies.
“While other schools have to find businesses to connect students, students at Dai Nam University have been “sponsored” by businesses and supported with job placements, and trained according to practical application models,” she said.
Students enthusiastically participate in the Taiwan Scholarship Program.
What should students do to "secure" a scholarship?
Scholarship program participants: K14 and K15 students who have completed the full course program or students from previous courses who have graduated.
Regarding foreign language requirements: Students must have a TOEIC 550 English certificate or equivalent or higher, or have a Chinese A2 certificate.
In case of not meeting the foreign language requirement, the International Training Institute of Dai Nam University will organize training, with a cost of 10,000 NTD (about 8 million VND) provided by the Taiwanese Government.
Regarding admission scholarships, the Taiwanese government supports 5,000 NTD (about 4 million VND).
