On the afternoon of May 10, the Government issued a Resolution of the regular meeting in April, which mentioned the organization of the national high school exam and university and college admissions in 2016.
Specifically, the Government requested the Ministry of Education to urgently draft the Prime Minister's Directive on preparations for the 2016 national high school exam, and coordinate with ministries, agencies and localities to organize this exam well, paying special attention to the university admission process, not to create hot spots of frustration in some schools like in 2015.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc requested that no hot spots of anger should occur in the 2016 enrollment process. |
In addition, the Government also requested the Ministry of Education to have solutions to create changes in the quality of education at all levels, especially university and postgraduate education, and to review and rectify doctoral training.
The 2015 university and college admissions season was a "disruptive" one, causing prolonged fatigue for the whole society, especially candidates, parents and school staff, as the admissions period was too long and each candidate had too many wishes. Candidates were also allowed to withdraw their applications, causing chaos in many schools during the final days of the admissions period. In addition, universities were completely dependent on the only data source held by the Ministry of Education and Training.
In 2016, candidates will still take the national high school exam with 8 subjects as last year. The exam schedule is as follows:
Day | Session | Exam subject | Time to do the test | Time to distribute exam papers to candidates | Time to start doing the test |
