If 90% of Physics exams are in the 12th grade program, Chemistry makes many students feel "scared" because the knowledge is spread across 3 grades 10, 11, 12 with a lot of theory.

So what is the appropriate learning method to get 10 points in accelerated chemistry in the last month? Here is the sharing of Hoang Dinh Quang - Runner-up of Foreign Trade University, Hanoi,

First, in the National High School Exam, 50% is theory. The theory is spread across all 3 grades 10, 11, 12 but focuses on grade 12. Therefore, students need to study the theory thoroughly so that when taking the exam, they can answer 100% of the theory questions correctly.

The best way to learn theory is to read carefully the textbooks for grades 10, 11, and 12; then practice many questions, it is best to redo the university entrance exams from previous years because the theory questions in them are very diverse and accurate.

When doing the test, mark any questions that are unclear or wrong in theory, then open the textbook and read the theory you do not understand again. That is the best way to learn theory. Do not just care about the answers A, B, C, D, but you need to understand clearly why this idea is correct and that idea is wrong.

Remember, when taking the Chemistry exam, the theory must be correct, if not, don't expect to get a high score. If you want to get 6 or 7 points, you just need to study the theory well and know how to apply basic methods such as Counting, Average, Conservation of electrons and Conservation of mass.

Second, students must master basic methods such as Counting, Average, Conservation of e and Conservation of mass. By just flexibly using these 4 methods, students can achieve 10 points in all university entrance exams from 2007 to 2013, and can achieve 9 points in university entrance exams from 2014 to 2016 (in the 2014 and 2015 exams, there were about 5 questions that required a combination of 4 methods at a high level).

There may be dozens of methods to solve problems, but the four methods above are the key and learning them is enough. It only takes about a week to master these four methods and then you can apply them to your exam preparation.

When doing the test, you must know how to orient yourself, don't memorize the answers. You must know when the question is given like that, where to start to solve it and what is the key to that problem. There is a very important mindset which is "Count how many unknowns there are, if there are n unknowns, then we will find n equations to solve" (Counting mindset).

For example, if the problem is given a mixture of 3 substances, the number of moles of those 3 substances is 3 unknowns a, b, c. So we will read the problem carefully to determine 3 mathematical equations, which can be a mass equation, a mole equation and an electron conservation equation, for example.

If we apply this mindset well, 90% of chemistry problems will be solved "with direction" and when taking the exam, no matter how the questions change, we can still apply this mindset to solve. Thus, with just theory and 4 basic methods, we can achieve 8 to 8.5 points in chemistry extremely easily.

If you want to quickly learn these 4 methods, you can visit the website anhsanghocduong.com for reference. It only takes 3 hours to learn 1 method and you will be able to apply it well to your exercises.

Third, to get 10 points, we need to solve 7-8 difficult multiple choice questions in the exam. The only way is to practice many mock exams of specialized schools across the country, filter out the difficult questions, copy them into a notebook so that before taking the exam, we can open them up and review them to remember.

When you do it again, try to find the key and the direction of the problem, do not memorize because in the real test, the questions are often changed. The best way to remember is to count the unknown numbers and find the appropriate number of equations (counting thinking).

In the real test, do the theory questions and the easy and medium questions carefully and accurately, because if you want to get 10, you must get 7 or 8 points first.

Don't rush into difficult questions and forget about easy questions because easy and difficult questions are worth the same 0.2 points, while easy questions only require a few seconds of careful thinking to figure out, while difficult questions take up to ten minutes to figure out.

When taking an exam, the most regrettable thing is "getting the easy questions wrong, the questions that shouldn't be wrong" but we are never sad because "we couldn't get the difficult questions right".

Fourth, about test-taking skills. When doing the test, we need to underline the "key" words in the test to do it correctly and avoid mistakes.

For example, "counting the number of structural isomers" is completely different from "counting the number of isomers in general", "counting the total coefficients of substances participating in the reaction" is completely different from "counting the total coefficients of substances in the chemical reaction", "complete reaction" is different from "letting the reaction take place over a period of time", etc.

If we do not learn how to identify "key words" and mark them on the test, we will easily make mistakes and do the wrong multiple choice test. When taking the test, remember to spend the last 4 minutes to transfer the answers from the scratch paper to the multiple choice test because the supervisor will not care if we do not have enough time to fill in the multiple choice test when the bell rings. When taking the test, you must be mentally stable, come early and talk to other students in the test room to erase the feeling of fear.

Don't look at the answers after finishing the test because often the answers online will be 4-5 times wrong compared to the standard answers of the Ministry of Education and Training. In addition, if the answers are not good, it will affect your psychology in the remaining subjects.
