On November 17, 2020, at the invitation of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam, the School Board and leaders of the Korean Language and Culture Department had an official visit and working session at the Korean Embassy.

With the aspiration to develop into a leading Korean language and culture training institution in Vietnam; a bright spot connecting students of the two countries; providing students with an effective learning environment that meets advanced output standards; ensuring that 100% of graduates have jobs in their majors, on November 17, 2020, at the invitation of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam, the School Council and the leaders of the Korean Language and Culture Department had an official visit and work at the Korean Embassy. Ambassador Park Noh Wan directly welcomed and worked with Dai Nam University.

During the visit and working session with Ambassador Park Noh Wan, Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the University Council briefly introduced the history of formation, development as well as the achievements in the past 13 years of Dai Nam University, and expressed his admiration and respect for the country, people and culture of Korea.

Dr. Le Dac Son shared with the Ambassador about the policy and aspiration to develop the Korean Language and Culture Department of Dai Nam University.

“From those deep impressions, I have wanted to open a major, training Korean Language and Culture at Dai Nam University for many years. With the help of domestic and Korean colleagues, in 2020, Dai Nam University was officially allowed to train this major. This is a good start for the cooperation between Dai Nam University and Korean corporations and organizations in training and supplying high-quality human resources for businesses in Korea and Korean businesses in Vietnam”, Dr. Le Dac Son shared.

The meeting promises to open up many development opportunities for the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture, Dai Nam University.

Dr. Le Dac Son added that Dai Nam University is currently training 4 languages, including: English, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. Dr. Le Dac Son said that Dai Nam University is very confident when receiving the license to train Korean Language and Culture. “Not only stopping at language training, Dai Nam University wishes to develop into a leading, specialized training institution for Korean language and culture in Vietnam, making Korean the second foreign language of Vietnamese people after English, a connecting point for students and young people of the two countries, creating a bright spot in the friendly relationship between Vietnam and Korea…”

On behalf of the School, Dr. Le Dac Son presented the Ambassador with a souvenir.

To realize that aspiration, Dr. Le Dac Son invited Ambassador Park Noh Wan to spend time visiting the school, talking and inspiring students of Korean Language and Culture in particular and Dai Nam students in general. In particular, Dr. Le Dac Son hopes that the Korean Embassy will create conditions for Dai Nam to host cultural and academic exchange activities; implement lecturer and student exchange activities as well as internship and practical programs for students in the near future.

At the meeting with Dai Nam University, Ambassador Park Noh Wan said that this was the first time he directly welcomed and worked with the leaders of a university that offers Korean language training in Vietnam. The Ambassador highly appreciated the goals and aspirations of Dai Nam University to develop Korean language and culture and said that he was ready to create favorable conditions to help the school carry out activities to connect the youth and culture between the two countries.

To ensure that 100% of students have jobs at Korean corporations and FDI companies right after graduation, Dai Nam University has cooperated with many large enterprises in training, such as: Samsung Group, LG Electronics Group, Korean Small and Medium Enterprises Association; Delta E&C Vietnam Company; Heesung Vietnam Company, Vietnam - Korea Business and Investment Association (VKBIA)...

Up to now, Dai Nam University is one of four universities specializing in Korean Language and Culture in the North.
