Letter from the Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, Dai Nam University, to new students of K15

Dear students!

On behalf of the Faculty of Information Technology and Dai Nam University, I would like to welcome you to the first day of school. On this occasion, I would also like to send my regards to your families and hope to receive your support in the next 4 years to train you to become good experts, have stable careers and be good citizens, build happy families and a prosperous country.

I also congratulate you for studying IT, a major with a very bright future, with many career opportunities and good income. Coming to Dai Nam, you will always be taken care of, not only in terms of studying and personality education, the school also cares about your personal life and future path. You will forever be a member of the Dai Nam student community, even if in the future you will travel all over the country, to new lands in the world to pursue your ambitions and careers. Together we will change the world for a glorious future of a Great Vietnam.

The Faculty of Information Technology, Dai Nam University, welcomes new students of K15 to join the common home of DNU.

Dear children,

Coming to Dai Nam this year, you will learn new knowledge and follow a special training program, some modern and unique knowledge not available at other schools. At Dai Nam, you will receive special care, regardless of your current learning ability, as long as you try, you will quickly have enough knowledge and skills to work in businesses, state agencies, IT projects, foreign organizations and study graduate programs at home and abroad.

I believe that you will be interested in the subjects right from the first year with a panoramic view of IT. You will be proud because IT is changing the world. Today, home appliances and mobile phones are computers thousands of times more powerful than the giant supercomputers of decades ago. The Internet system and Cyberspace promise to be a world containing many new opportunities and a new lifestyle. On devices and virtual space, there will be many opportunities for us to create smart software applications, change lives and bring food and clothing to everyone. Without graduating from school, you will be able to participate in projects to create such software.

At Dai Nam, you will never be afraid of programming, which may seem confusing at first. 20 years ago, personal computers were only operated by IT specialists, but today they have become a working tool and personal device for everyone. Believe me, in just 5-10 years, programming will become normal for everyone, not just in the IT industry. Today, starting a business and creating new products in any field requires programming. That is why your future will be extremely bright and exciting. Software applications will change the world as Dai Nam's slogan says "study to change": change yourself, change poverty, change society, change the world for a better future for everyone. Each of us is born with a mission for ourselves, our family and society. We will try to have a decent and good life. If you can help your family and contribute to society, that will be the greatest luck and happiness.

I believe that you will like the IT Practice course, which is the first course taught at Dai Nam. In this course, after a few hours of theory, you will work as real IT specialists, repairing and installing computers, installing and using software analysis, getting familiar with software development tools and designing practical application products. These experiences will help you master increasingly advanced technology knowledge in the following years of study and will help you find a good job soon, possibly before graduation, even from the second year.

Coming to DNU IT faculty, students will learn new knowledge and follow a special training program, some modern and unique knowledge not available at other schools.

At Dai Nam, you will have the opportunity to intern very early with businesses in cooperative projects. As long as you demonstrate your ability and enthusiasm, you will quickly get a job. Dai Nam students with rich internship experience will be the human resource that every business wants. As long as you try hard.

If you want to study further, study abroad or work for multinational companies, the solid basic knowledge and rich practical experience that Dai Nam gives you will be extremely valuable. We will advise you on the paths to the addresses you dream of, so that your dreams come true.

One of the qualities we want to inspire in our students is the spirit of entrepreneurship. No other industry has such a wide-open entrepreneurial future as IT. At Dai Nam, we will combine practical programs, classroom solutions with entrepreneurial ideas, finding ways to develop new products to meet real needs. Those are gold mines waiting for students to dig up.

The Faculty of Information Technology at Dai Nam will focus on 3 main areas: Digital Infrastructure and Internet of Things (IoT), Data Technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI), Digital Transformation and Smart Applications. These are all areas with rich and current practical applications, and also promise outstanding developments in the near future. We have a strong Faculty of Information Technology with prestigious professors and doctors, many teachers with experience in teaching and working in companies who will enthusiastically impart knowledge and skills to students. We have professors working at prestigious universities in the US, France, Japan, Europe, ... technologists leading leading companies, who are scientific advisors of the Faculty will guide students into the most advanced technological directions.

The faculty will also have research groups and advanced facilities and equipment that you can participate in learning, using and exploiting early. You just need to try. Nothing is easy without effort, but nothing is impossible.

Dear children!

Your prospects are bright, your opportunities are great, the future of the IT industry is very favorable. I also know that the lives of many of your families are still struggling. Your parents have tried very hard to raise you and study and expect you to soon be able to support your family. We will try together, we will do our best to teach you, you must try to study, so as not to disappoint the expectations of your parents and society. We will have happy and warm hours in the Dai Nam family, after hours of hard work. If you have any difficulties in your personal life, please come to the teachers in the Faculty, we will try our best to help you.

The prospects for IT students are bright, their opportunities are huge, and the future of the IT industry is very favorable.

If it weren’t for the pandemic, we would have met on the first day of school. I would have talked to you more. In the current circumstances, I am writing this letter to express my love and encouragement to you as you embark on a new, very important and exciting journey.

We wish you all good luck in your studies and a happy life at Dai Nam. The next 4 years will be an unforgettable time in your lives and we will be by your side. See you in the classroom.
