In the 2017 national high school exam, Nam Dinh candidates had the highest average score in the country with a score of 5.86. Meanwhile, the average score nationwide was 5.39.

Last year, Nam Dinh candidates also had the highest average score with a score of 5.32 , much higher than the average 4.71  of the country.
The following positions have changed quite a bit compared to 2016.
This year, An Giang is the city with the second highest score in the country. 5.80, only 0.06 less than Nam Dinh.

Last year, An Giang's average score was not among the top 15 provinces and cities.

Ho Chi Minh City ranked this year 5 with a score of 5.73. Right behind is Vinh Phuc with a score of 5.72.

Hanoi ranked 2nd 14 while Nghe An and Thanh Hoa dropped to quite "deep" positions compared to last year.

At the bottom of the average score list this year is Ha Giang province with a score of 4.53.

If calculated by region Most of the provinces with high average scores are concentrated in the Northern Delta region (about 7 provinces).

The remaining 8 provinces are concentrated in the southern region.

Hanoi leads in the number of exams with scores from 9 to 10

About quantity test score 10 and points in the range From 9 to 10 , Hanoi is the leading unit with 621 points 10. Ho Chi Minh City ranked 2nd with 453 points 10.

The next provinces are Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Vinh Phuc, Hai Duong, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Hai Phong, Ha Tinh, Bac Ninh, Da Nang, Hung Yen.

The above provinces all have over 100 exams scoring 10 points.

All 63 provinces and cities have candidates scoring 10 points in this year's national high school exam.

Lai Chau is the only province with 1 score of 10 in Civic Education. The other provinces all have 5 exams with scores of 10 or higher.

About Scores from 9 to 10 , Hanoi is the province with the most with a total of 16,771 exams. Ho Chi Minh City ranked 2nd with 13,711 exams.

This is completely understandable because Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are the two units with the most candidates participating in this year's exam.

Thanh Hoa and Nghe An both have over 5,500 exams with scores of 9 or higher.

The province with the fewest exams scoring 9-10 is Lai Chau, with only 248 exams.

With In Mathematics , Nam Dinh continues to be the province with the highest average Math score in the country in the 2017 National High School Exam with a score of 6.14. Last year, this province also ranked first in the country with a score of 5.82.

The next provinces are Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Hai Phong, Tien Giang, Thai Binh, Ha Nam... However, the average score of these provinces is below 6.

The province with the lowest average score is Son La with a score of 3.31.

Meanwhile, the national average score for Math in this year's exam is 5.19.

With English subject , this year welcomes the return of Ho Chi Minh City with a score of 5.92 , much higher than the national average score (4.6).

The next ranked provinces are Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Hanoi with scores of 5.13, 5.11, 4.99 respectively.

Provinces with high average scores last year such as Lao Cai, Cao Bang, Dak Nong, and Lai Chau are no longer in the top 10 this year.

For example, Lao Cai last year had the highest average English score in the country, but this year it ranked 50th with a score of 4.42, lower than the average.

For In Literature , Lang Son is the province with the highest average score in the country with a score of 6.67, 1 point higher than the general average of 5.51.

The second-ranked province is An Giang with a score of 6.32. Last year, An Giang ranked first in the country in terms of average score in Literature.

The next provinces ranked are Bac Kan, Ninh Binh, Dien Bien.

Hanoi ranked 6th and Ho Chi Minh City ranked 13th.

Three provinces with over 20,000 candidates include Dong Nai, Dak Lak, and Thai Binh. Of which, Dong Nai has 26,200 candidates taking the exam.

The province with the least number of candidates taking the exam is Bac Kan with 2,862 candidates taking the exam.

Lai Chau, Kon Tum, Cao Bang, and Bac Lieu provinces all have less than 5,000 candidates taking the exam, among the provinces with the fewest candidates this year.
